JOB TITLE: Fitter/Welder I STARTING RATE: $26.60 Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery framework and related components using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate knowledge, attitude, skills and habits required to perform proceduralized tasks under general supervision and complex, and complex tasks involving the use of theoretical knowledge with little to no supervision. Demonstrate skill and dexterity for welding processes of metal. Must be able to perform all functions of the basic welder classification. Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications. Use semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal pieces using processes such as GTAW, MCAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW. Prepare broken parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces and drilling a hole at ends of cracks. Operate manual or flame-cutting equipment when necessary. Role Description: We are looking for a skilled Robotic Weld Technician to join our team and help us push the limits of steel and aluminum fabrication using state-of-the-art robotic mig welding systems. Weld Technician will be working within and supporting a welding team production environment.
