Position Summary

As a Welder/Fabricator, you will read and interpret engineering blueprints, fabricate metal components or structures, and perform quality checks on finished products.
In this role, you will work with different welding techniques, such as TiG and MiG welding, to weld a variety of metals, such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, to create a range of parts and assembled equipment that meet the required specifications. You will also perform tube and pipe welding MS. You will be responsible for building simple and complex fabrications based on prints such as tanks, frames, and hoppers from sheet metal and plate.

* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and support a 24/7 operation in strenuous physical conditions both indoors and outdoors, day and night shift.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of failure and wear analysis.
* Strong understanding of safety policies and procedures relating to mine equipment and maintenance practices. (i.e. guarding, blocking, lock out tag out)
* Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and use proper tools and procedures for lifting
* Consistent attendance.
Required Experience:
* Own and maintain required personal tools required.
* Minimum of 3 years' hands on welding experience using SMAW and FCAW welding process
* Five years' experience in a mine maintenance environment preferred.
* AWS certification using NDT inspection methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye penetrant testing is preferred.
* Experience with air arc and oxygen acetylene cutting process applicable to the repair of heavy mining equipment
* Must be able to pass a welding test for technical level advancement
* Valid Driver License required.

* MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding on large scale mining buckets and heavy equipment components. Conduct structural repairs, rebuilds, and modifications using appropriate welding techniques

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 a.m.

Summary:
The general labor position is responsible for processing orders on the floor through various stages which may include skilled MIG and/or TIG welding, prepping, testing, finishing, shipping, and or receiving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
Perform skilled welding- following standardized procedures and or charts primarily through oral instruction.
Adhere to standards and quality and accuracy utilizing prints and other standards of inspection.
Must be able to understand how to use tape measure and calipers.
Computer knowledge.
Prepping hoses utilizing cutting equipment, crimpers and other hand tools.
Testing assemblies utilizing air, water, gas and Helium Mass Spec equipment.
Finishing assemblies utilizing buffing, grinding, polishing, covering, tagging, painting and/or packaging.
Perform housekeeping around facility to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Complete all paperwork required for assemblies.
Work safely utilizing proper protective equipment.
Keep work area clean.
Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
TIG welding experience a must.
Ability to sit 80 percent of the day.
Great hand and eye coordination.
Must be able to bend, squat twist and kneel.
Communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork.
Safety conscious.
Must be able to work a min of 40 hrs per week.
Experience with the use of hand and power tools is required.
Ability to lift, pull and push 50 lbs.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to understand and follow English instructions, spoken and written.
Knowledge of using tape measure and other measuring tools.
A Resume, onsite interview and weld test will be required for this position.
A drug test will be required after interview upon consideration and will not be testing for THC.
