About this Role
FiberTel is looking for a night welder for our Corona and Clines Corner, NM locations.
The Night Welder under minimal supervision, welds, fabricates, repairs, modifies, and evaluates a variety of construction, transmission, and distribution vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
What You'll Do
Diagnose repair and rebuild equipment using multiple cutting and welding process
Be able to Draft equipment or part to be built or repaired.
Understand the working of vehicles and equipment that applies to the line industry.
Provide Technical support, guidance and instruction in the most efficient and safest method to accomplish a task
Inspect and trouble shoot welds and welding equipment.

What You'll Bring

The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. + Proficiency in welding and blueprint reading.
+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.
+ Ability to use a tape measure and read measurements such as 1/16", 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2".
+ Experience in an industrial setting.

+ Experience with plasma cutters and ironworking equipment.
+ Familiarity with MIG welding techniques.
+ Experience with fitting and using a press brake.

**Work Environment**
The work is performed in a structural steel fabrication shop, focusing on making architectural pieces such as stairs and railings. The environment is industrial and safety-focused. The schedule includes a 1st Shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm (with training through November) and a PM shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a 10% differential for the 2nd shift.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
