The Welder performs preventive maintenance, fabrication welding, refurbishes refuse containers and compactors, rehabilitates scuffed paint, installs decals and ensures accurate repair and replacement of components. Key Responsibilities Performs repairs on all sizes and types of containers and compactors including road repair. Performs inspections on all welding and cutting equipment to ensure safe operating procedures Maintains inventory record keeping and assuring adequate material to complete all assigned work efficiently. The Mastectomy and Compression Fitter performs specialty fittings and provides durable medical equipment (DME) items as medically necessary and directed by a physician order. The fitter holds a customer service-oriented position that involves working directly with patients in a professional clinical capacity. The role assesses patient status pre- or post-surgical intervention and conducts product selection, as well as fitting patients for bras, compression garments and prostheses. Will be responsible for assisting with determining the right product and size for the patient. Places custom orders from manufacturers, suppliers, with knowledge of the product comfort and fit. Works with patients, patient families and revenue cycle to process prior authorizations from insurance companies and prescription from providers as needed. The Pipe Welder will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of HVAC, Utility and Process piping systems. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Regular attendance at assigned location; may include the A/Z fabrication facility or other project sites; Works on systems that include Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, Condensate, Compressed Air, Process Fluids, Chemical, Fuel Oil, Gasses, and other related systems; Works with materials that include carbon steel, stainless steel, plastics, fiberglass, copper, (brazed, soft soldered and pro-press); Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. Estimate consumable materials needed for production and manufacturing and maintain required stocks of materials. Set up and use ladders and scaffolding as necessary to complete work. Use fire suppression methods in industrial emergencies. Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors; Direct helpers or apprentices in appropriate tasks; Must maintain strict adherence to safety rules and quality; Participate in site housekeeping; Interact with co-workers in an attentive courteous manner; Additional duties as directed by management. Assist with joint fit up and final weld joint alignment to include some rigging and lifting if necessary. Ideal candidates will be proficient with SMAW/STICK, GTAW/TIG ? 6G position Performs welding processes on pipe; manual; standard bevel Plan, lay‐out, weld, install, and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards utilizing a variety of hand‐welding or flame‐cutting equipment. Use appropriate hand (i.e. wrap around, files) and power tools (i.e. cutting torch) to properly measure, cut, assemble, weld and install all types of structural steel components; install supports, valves and other control equipment; test installed systems and install all other related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications; must be familiar with properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage and welding techniques; bolts, clamps or other welding related equipment; weld components according to specific process and code; and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications.
