ABW is looking for intermediate and experienced aluminum and stainless steel TIG Fitter/Welders, who are motivated and take pride in producing quality fabricated parts and meeting or exceeding customer requirements and schedules.
Fitter/Welder candidates must be able to read and understand shop drawings. They will be required to fit and weld components in accordance with weld procedures accounting for weld shrinkage with minimal supervision. All fit-up and welds are inspected by in-house and/or customer CWI’s. ABW administers in-house testing and certification. In addition to welder qualification testing, Fitter/Welders will be evaluated on their ability to read and understand drawings, tolerances, and welding procedures.
Pay rates are based on the number of welding processes and qualified positions that welders are certified for and dependent upon weld test results at time of interview. Swing shift also pays a higher rate. $30-$40 per hour.
Benefits include health, dental, vision and voluntary benefits. 2 weeks of PTO per year to start.
Day shift: Work four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 6 am-4:30 pm. Overtime as required.

**Department:** Production Department **Location:** Bremerton, WA **Welder Mechanic** * Complete assigned tasks in a safe manner by wearing all required PPE, and by adhering to all applicable safety requirements and standards of the company, customer, and/or regulatory group.
* Recognize QA requirements, and report any circumstances that need attention to the QA Department or immediate supervisor.
* Identify processes that will have to be accomplished at the shop and fill out all necessary paperwork.
* Communicate with the supervisor, customer, or designated representative to coordinate specific job-related aspects and ensure job continuity.
* Follow company, and customer policies, regulations, procedures, and other necessary requirements.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Review details of the work package such as technical information, specification items, drawings, manuals, sketches, etc.
* Assist production by welding various structures and materials.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
* Able to withstand environmental factors such as:
o Outside weather conditions
o High, precarious places
o Exposed to fumes and airborne particles
o Very loud noise level
* Required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
* Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs.
* Must adhere to applicable documents, references, and safety guidelines including, but not limited to the following:
o MIL STD 22D, 248, **************, 2035
* Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:
o Stooping
o Bending
o Squatting
o Climbing (including but not limited to, vertical and incline ladders, masts, and kingposts)
o Crawling (including but not limited to, through scuttles, manhole covers, tanks, and voids)
*Experience Requirements:*
* 3rd Class = must be 3-position SMAW carbon steel plate and 3-position FCAW carbon steel plate qualified.
* 2nd Class = meet 3rd class requirements, hold a carbon arcing qualification, plus 1 additional SMAW certification (not carbon steel) and 1 additional FCAW plate certification (not carbon steel).
* 1st Class = meet 2nd class requirements, hold a SMAW 110-1B 6GT Pipe certification, and either a GMAW-P Aluminum certification or 3 SMAW and 3 FCAW pipe/plate certifications.
*Other Requirements:*
* Can read and interpret weld symbols on blueprints or drawings.
* Must be able to pass Drug Screening, Work Ability Screening.
* Must be able to obtain a Government facility security pass.
* May be required to travel to multiple locations in the course of a work day.
* Must be willing to work locally and out-of-state.
