Position Duties:
Utilize your welding skills to ensure the structural integrity of storage tanks through various techniques like stick and flux core welding.
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure your welding tasks meet all specifications.
Inspect your work for quality control, promptly addressing any issues you may uncover.
Work alongside your team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols.

Requirements
At least a year of welding experience, ideally in the storage tank industry.
Attention to detail with a skill for spotting potential defects.
A willingness to lift heavy equipment and engage in physically demanding tasks.
Strong communication abilities coupled with a collaborative spirit.
A passion for travel and the flexibility to work in various locations.
A TWIC card might be required

8. If the final acceptance by Plant Manager passes visual exam by code, then put initials & position on plate away from the weld.
9. An X-Ray & mechanical test will be done to determine if it is acceptable

We are seeking skilled Combo Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters. The ideal candidates will have experience in pipe welding and/or pipe fitting.
Responsibilities:
Perform pipe welding in various positions including 6G TIG all the way out, 6G Stick (7018) with a mig stringer, and mig/fluxcore on a pinwheel.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install pipes according to project specifications.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure welded joints and fittings meet company standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Combo Pipe Welder or Pipe Fitter in an ASME shop.
Proficiency in welding techniques including TIG, Stick (7018), mig stringer, and mig/fluxcore on a pinwheel.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of piping materials, fittings, and equipment.
Certification in pipe welding (e.g., AWS D1.1 or ASME Section IX).
Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys.
Familiarity with pipe fabrication tools and equipment.

Job Description
Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is no ordinary tank construction company. We specialize in the complex and fast-paced environment of tank repair on a nationwide scale. No two tanks are alike, so when they need repair, they often pose unique or complicated technical issues. Our experienced engineering staff are well-versed in API 650, API 653, AWWA D100, AWWA D103, API 12D, and other tank specifications.
We build and repair welded above-ground storage tanks (ASTs), bolted tanks, and related structures. We also inspect, install, and repair tank systems such as aluminum geodesic dome covers, aluminum internal floating roofs (IFRs), IFR mechanical shoe seals, liquid level gauges, fire protection systems, silo support structures, industrial storage tanks, and heating and insulation systems.

Day to Day Duties:
Performing arc and torch cutting and gouging.
Using generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and air tools.
Welding plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 stick (SMAW), flux core (FCAW), and submerged arc automatic machines (3 o'clock and “goat”/tractor).
Using come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and other lifting equipment.
Using tank shell buggies, tank scaffolding, tank ladders, and other specialty equipment.
Performing vacuum box tests, oil tests, dye penetrant tests, and other non-destructive quality examinations.
Using gas monitors, fresh air kits, respirators, emergency rescue kits, and other safety equipment.
Operating forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other large lifting equipment.
Knowledge of crane operations (including rigging and signaling)
Reading detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
Planning the sequence and methods of fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks.
Completing job safety analysis, safety audits, site-specific training, and other safety training.
Follow directions and work professionally with other crew members. \
Other duties as assigned.

Operate small saw machine and iron machine for cutting and coping, notching materials.
Skills:
Five years of structural fitting experience is recommended.
