Fabricate and repair metal components, frames, and structures for vessels, barges, and marine equipment.
Welding of padeyes and lashing brackets on different floating assets to support offshore operations.
Assist with marine salvage operations, including cutting, rigging, lifting, and structural recovery tasks.
Work safely and effectively in challenging environments, including on the water on crane barges, docks, and offshore job sites.
Operate and maintain welding, burning, and cutting equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
Collaborate closely with team members during heavy lift, dive, and salvage operations.

Compensation: Hourly wage based upon experience and skill set, plus per diem (to cover meals and lodging). Normal hourly wage paid for work-related travel (no overtime). Non-union. Occasional prevailing wage. Non-exempt. No PTO or paid holidays. Pay periods are weekly. Direct deposit is available.

Shift: Project work schedules vary. However, a typical work shift is daylight (10 hours per day, 5 days per week).

Day to Day Duties:
Performing arc and torch cutting and gouging.
Using generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and air tools.
Welding plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 stick (SMAW), flux core (FCAW), and submerged arc automatic machines (3 o'clock and “goat”/tractor).
Using come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and other lifting equipment.
Using tank shell buggies, tank scaffolding, tank ladders, and other specialty equipment.
Performing vacuum box tests, oil tests, dye penetrant tests, and other non-destructive quality examinations.
Using gas monitors, fresh air kits, respirators, emergency rescue kits, and other safety equipment.
Operating forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other large lifting equipment.
Knowledge of crane operations (including rigging and signaling)
Reading detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
Planning the sequence and methods of fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks.
Completing job safety analysis, safety audits, site-specific training, and other safety training.
Follow directions and work professionally with other crew members.
Other duties as assigned.

The MIG Welder at our Baldwin, WI Location is responsible for set up and welding of product. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 3:15 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.
Role Responsibilities:
* Performs set up and all position welding on a diversified line of standard and non-standard product according to print specifications. Materials may include steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
* Fit and position product weldments having several parts, using welding and welding fixtures and jigs where applicable.
* Work from prints and routings.
* Statistical process control (SPC) data collection and use of graphs (TIG welding).
* Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
* Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate ability to:
* Completion of welding diploma from an accredited weld school, or
* Six months industrial weld experience, or
* A combination of weld education and experience.
* Pass blueprint reading test
* Pass practical weld test
* Ability to MIG and TIG weld
* The position may require that the selected candidate is medically evaluated and able to wear a Power Air Purified Respirator ("PAPR") while fulfilling the requirements of the position.
* Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment.
* Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees.
* Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal.
* Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
* Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance.

* Weld
Hourly Pay Range: $27.41 - $33.50, depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
This position is overtime eligible as per state and federal regulations.
This position is eligible for a gainsharing plan based on the achievement of specific goals.
