Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start. Set and/or operate weld machines to manufacturer's specifications, meeting time budgets for finished product. Select, install, and position required fittings in accordance with Standard Work Instructions. Perform welds to meet all company and code requirements. Perform Quality Control. Job Description SHOP WELDER/FABRICATOR Fineline Steel Fabrication has immediate openings for SHOP WELDERS/FABRICATORS to work at our steel fabrication facility. Previous experience with .045-1/16 wire welding process is a plus as well as experience with structural steel fabrication. This is a full-time position, must be able to work overtime as needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, pass a background check and have reliable transportation to get to and from work. Personal welding equipment and tools are required. Training will be provided. Qualifications: Proficient in assigned welding techniques Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings Running iron worker, plasma cutter, band saw Interpretation of drawings, including weld requirement symbols Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up (amps, volts, etc.) Conventional and precision measuring instruments Process inspection, certification, and documentation Welding equipment maintenance Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools Safety and housekeeping Certifications are not required and can be completed in-house Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check Work Hours: Monday-Thursday from 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM. 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime as necessary or until work is completed.
