Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the use of acetylene and/or electric arc welding equipment for welding metal parts together or for flame cutting, as specified by layout, diagram, work order, or verbal instructions.
REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years of experience in the welding trade. Successful completion of coursework in welding at a post-secondary school may be substituted on a year for year basis for a maximum of one (1) year (1,080 class hours [1 school year] = 1 year of experience; 120 class hours = 1 month of experience). Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial driver's license with airbrake endorsement, and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solver who can understand and follow instruction.
Accountability for completion of daily work assignments while monitoring quality, safety, and health regulations.
Operate overhead cranes and or forklifts.
Complies with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements and is physically / medically qualified to wear required PPE per OSHA standards.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities: (list is not inclusive)
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the layout and placement of pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Cutting, threading, and bending pipes using various tools and equipment.
- Assembling and installing pipe systems for hot and cold water, heating, cooling, and gas and the ability to install copper piping to reheats and FCUs
- Welding pipes and fittings using various techniques such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). 6g weld test required
- Inspecting and testing installed pipes and systems to ensure proper functioning and adherence to building codes and safety standards.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure safety, good communication, and timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Always maintaining a neat and orderly work area and following company safety protocols.
- Experienced with screw pipe and weld pipe and knowledgeable of all fitting take outs for screw and weld fittings
- Victaulic experience is preferred
- Background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug screening performed
- This is not a per diem position.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete Form I-9 upon hire.

Must be able to travel to multiple construction sites within the U.S. and present acceptable identification for security or travel purposes.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a combination pipefitter welder in copper and pipe welding in a commercial setting.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge and experience in welding techniques and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication in English and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
