They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/ Welder to join their manufacturing/production team. The Fabricator will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing metal or other material structures and products using fabrication machinery according to blueprints and technical drawings.
Positions start at $20/hr, with some flexibility based on experience. Shift times are Monday- Friday 6a-4:30p. This is a long term position with growth opportunities available within.
Responsibilities:
• Operate metalworking machines such as shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses, and CNC
equipment to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
• Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment to
fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, partition frames, dust collection
piping, and material handling systems.
• Inspect product quality and 100% conformation to specifications.
• Keep up with production pace throughout shift.
• Follow directives from supervisors/leads.
• Must have own tools.
• Must pass weld test.
Skills and Qualifications:
• MIG welding various mild steel including 16 gauge, ¼”, 3/8”, ½”.
• TIG/Stick welding experience a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, sketches, and work specifications.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot.
• Strong math skills.
• Must have weld fabrication experience with sheet metal and structural welding.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work OT as needed.
