What You'll Work On
Mechanical TIG fabrication / welding of stainless steel for commercial kitchens, food-service equipment, and mechanical rooms
Installing and fabricating hydronic piping systems (chilled water, heating hot water, condenser water)
Welding, brazing, grooving, threading, soldering, and system layout
Reading and interpreting blueprints, isometrics, and piping diagrams
Installing pumps, heat exchangers, expansion tanks, valves, and supports
Testing, flushing, and commissioning hydronic systems
Leading small crews on installs (if experienced)
What You Bring
4-6+ years of mechanical pipefitting experience
TIG welding certification (stainless steel experience required)
Experience working with stainless steel, copper, PVC, HDPE
Experience with commercial kitchen installs or hydronic piping
Ability to weld to code-quality standards (food service & mechanical)
Foreman/lead experience is a plus - or the desire to grow into leadership
Valid driver's license and ability to clear background/drug screening

Position purpose
The Welder position responsibilities include fitting and joining and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
* Working hours are general 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., but may be adjusted as needed to meet production needs
* Perform welding duties using a TIG welder.
* Use welding equipment to weld steel components as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
* Work with others to assist in the welding of multi-component parts.
* Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs.

The role of Welder includes construction of various fabricated parts and assembly from engineered prints by cutting, fitting, and welding.
Responsibilities
Operates welding equipment to fabricate components and assemblies including structural frames, piping, tanks, and ASME pressure vessels.
Read blueprints and drawings to build designed fabrications.
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on welding procedures.
Lay out and fit up fabricated components with tight tolerances indicated in drawings/prints using appropriate tools.
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) which may be subjected to non-destructive testing (NDE including but not limited to Xray, PT, MT, UT).
