Thomas Pump & Machinery is currently looking for a Field Service Pump Mechanic. With more than 30 years of pump manufacturing and distribution experience, our growing team consists of more than 45 employees and 2 company-owned branches. A successful candidate will be dependable, with strong problem-solving skills and excellent safety record. Experience in mechanical repair, trouble shooting, and services of pump equipment preferred. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Precisely cut steel for fabrication using bandsaw.
- Clean, deburr and prime steel, pre and post weld.
- Ability to cut and form material using a torch;
- Must be willing to work after hours and weekends when needed.
- Correctly Mix and spray skids and systems with single part and 2 part epoxy paint.;
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections;
- Operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts;
Required:
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.
- Must be punctual, showing up to work every day is a must.
- Must have safety toe boots and wear PPE every day.
- Must be willing to learn new things.
