Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Welder to join our team and support both production and R&D initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who has strong welding expertise, especially in high-pressure, high-temperature piping, and who enjoys hands-on prototyping, problem solving, and contributing to the development of new technologies. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and R&D teams to fabricate pipe spools, assist with rapid prototyping, and support general mechanical and hardware installation tasks across the company.
Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication
Perform pipe spool welding for high-pressure, high-temperature applications following industry and company standards.
Precision TIG welding on Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Aluminum
Fabricate components for prototypes, test rigs, fixtures, and assemblies used in R&D programs
Read and interpret technical weldment drawing
Participate in rapid prototyping to support proof-of-concept and early-stage product development.
Work closely with engineers to iterate designs and provide manufacturability feedback.
Assist in building and assembling test systems for performance evaluation.
Mechanical Assembly Work
Install mechanical hardware such as bolts, fittings, valves, instrumentation, and support brackets.
Assist with general shop tasks including material preparation, equipment setup, and workspace organization.
Support equipment maintenance and safe shop operations.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience of welding or fabrication experience, including but not limited to Pressure Vessel/Piping, Chemical Processing, Aerospace, or Automotive
Strong proficiency in TIG welding, particularly stainless steel and nickel-based alloys (e.g., Inconel)
Welding Certifications including but not limited to: AWS D1.1, 6G Pipe Welding Certification, AWS D17.1, API 1104, AWS D1.6
Experience welding to high-pressure, high-temperature code or near-code requirements.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on assembly and technician experience
Commitment to safety, precision, and producing high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills
Preferred
Experience with ASME Section IX, Section VIII, or pressure piping fabrication.
Prior work in energy, chemical processing, R&D labs, or advanced manufacturing.

What You Will Do
