General Job Description: The adjunct faculty is responsible for providing up to date and quality instructional classes in their area of expertise, in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the Warren County Vocational School District and its adopted Board of Education policies. This training will provide well-planned current instruction that meets the needs of students and business and industry. The Welding Instructor provides course instruction and lab work for students for training entry-level and skill upgrade welding.
Qualifications:
* Ability and desire to teach in a classroom
* Five years recent and verifiable welding experience in MIG, TIG, ARC
* Must successfully complete Mig, Tig, and Arc certification testing within one year of date of hire
* Teaching experience is desired
* Valid or ability to obtain Teaching Permit, through The Ohio Department of Education
* Willingness to work with students and colleagues as a team member
* Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills
* History of good job attendance
* Valid Ohio Driver's License
* Must pass criminal background check after job offer is made
Responsibilities:
* Provides course instruction and lab work for the students. Students may be seeking training for entry-level positions or upgrading their skills within the welding industry.

The Machine Operator will be working at one of Scotts production plants mechanically combining raw materials to produce our finished product.

What you'll do in this role:
* Operate a computer controlled production system for multiple raw material ingredients that are processed in a mix room.
* Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision.
* Actively maintain good housekeeping standards in their assigned area
* Complete daily job checklists & equipment checks/calibrations to maintain quality.
* Maintain accurate records of raw materials, samples & equipment operations.
* Operate a forklift to transport materials
* Perform safety audits on equipment

* Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order
* Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures
* Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift
* Feed information akin to speed, shapes and sizes through the machine set up box
* Place parts in semi-automated machines
* Calibrate machines at the beginning of each shift
* Recalibrate machines at the end of each shift
* Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running
* Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
* Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
* Perform random tests to ensure accuracy
* Perform safety checks on every machine
* Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output
* Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times
* Maintain activity logs/downtime sheets

* A minimum of one plus years of production plant experience is preferred.
* Able to identify all materials used, detail oriented, follow safe practices and procedures, ability to read English and or follow directions
* Able to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/ rainy weather, lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for the entire day.
* Willingness to work mandatory overtime including weekends and holidays.

A Brief Overview

Your primary responsibility is to set up machines according to the work order & job specifications. Using your mechanical skills, you troubleshoot and adjust the setup as needed. You pull all necessary materials and tools to perform measuring, cutting, assembly, and other operations as necessary for production. As a skillful assembler, you fill, weigh, and label each package. Always attentive to detail, you keep an inventory of materials and alert managers when items are low. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MANUFACTURING MACHINE OPERATOR / SETUP TECH & GENERAL ASSEMBLER
2+ years of experience in manufacturing or similar trade
High school diploma OR equivalent
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Basic computer skills
Proficiency with rulers and calipers
Ability to squat/lift items above shoulders (up to 40 pounds)
Ability to perform the physical requirements, such as standing for long periods throughout the shift, for the position

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MANUFACTURING MACHINE OPERATOR / SETUP TECH & GENERAL ASSEMBLER
This production position works the 1st shift and typically has a 4-day schedule of Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional Friday shifts may be required to meet demand.

Operates molding machines following all work instructions. Handles molded parts and assembles if necessary. Performs inspection of each finished part and packages per customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read, and follow all Operator Work Instructions.
Ensure all molded parts that are produced to the correct specifications and are free of defects based on established quality specifications and documentation.
Document scrap parts on Shift Report or Shop Floor Communication Cart.
Pack all finished parts as instructed to customer requirements.
Ensure product is properly labeled.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures and policies.
Know and follow all OSHA and ASPM safety rules.
Work collaboratively in a team environment.
Effectively communicates clearly with other team members.
Demonstrate good time management skills.
