**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Welds production and less difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts in various materials including stainless steel, precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and/or MIG.
+ May operate program welding machine to weld production units and also assist machine welding operator in program welding higher volume production units when work load requires it.
+ Welds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product.
+ Must maintain individual welding qualification and certification per product requirements.
+ Sets up fixtures and lays out work for production and prototype piece parts.
+ Performs work of a miscellaneous nature as required.
**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Three (3) years of welding experience and a High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED), OR
+ One (1) year of welding experience and verified completion of a Welding certificate program
+ Must obtain and maintain applicable company welding certifications.
+ Solid work history showing record of dependability

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
+ Grind and cut metal to size
+ Set up production areas for maximum efficiency
+ Position and secure parts using fixtures, clamps, and stands
+ Create jigs for production runs when needed
+ Follow welding procedure specifications for quality and conformity
+ Safely handle and connect gas cylinders to fabrication equipment
+ Set up and maintain welding machines
+ Inspect welds for bead size and specifications
+ Repair broken or cracked metal parts and fill holes
+ Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
+ Prepare joints and remove discontinuities before continuing fabrication
+ Clean and degrease parts
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in TIG welding on stainless piping
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints
+ Willingness to assist with assembly, MIG welding, and electrical work
+ Ability to pass a 2-3" pipe/butt weld test
+ Strong understanding of safety rules and procedures
**Qualifications**
+ One-year technical certificate or equivalent experience
+ Welding certification preferred
+ Ability to pass a 3" 304 sch. 40 6G pipe test and a ½" 304 sch. 10 6G pipe test
+ Strong math skills and ability to follow instructions

As the Weld Lead, your primary responsibility is daily supervision of all welding operations within the given facility. This position requires a high level of communication.
Your daily responsibilities as a Weld Lead will include:
Provide daily work direction to welding personnel
