Responsibilities:
TIG welding thin-walled stainless steel tubes, pipes, and other various structures using Miller Syncrowave 180 TIG Welder
Use of fixturing equipment such as magnetic and corner clamps
Use of fabrication equipment including miter saws, band saws, and grinders
Welding structures for the worlds highest throughput metal 3D printing system
Basic Requirements:
3+ years of TIG welding experience
Experience welding stainless steel
Preferred Skills and Experience:
5+ years of TIG welding experience
Experience with precision welding
Experience welding in an aerospace environment

Summary
The Welder will perform fusion, spot, seam, and/or stud welding on aerospace parts and components per the requirements of specifications as prescribed by engineering drawings and work orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
Will clean, tack and weld test coupons and production assemblies using specific instructions for the weld machines.
Fabricate manufacture-welded parts from engineering drawing with minimal to no instruction.
Apply knowledge of the materials and processes to help with development of Weld Schedules and use existing Weld Schedules to produce flight critical welds.
Verify all work to ensure that quality standards are maintained and adhered to all specifications and procedures involving company and customer practices and maintain all weld records.
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineering teams to resolve problems and develop new processes and/or procedures.
Perform welding on aircraft and ground support equipment to a qualified Welding Schedule.
Perform certified welding on aerospace parts and components per specifications.
Perform daily preventative maintenance of equipment per schedule and minor maintenance (e.g., changes tips)
Select, position, and secure welding tips in machine tool holder and position work pieces in devices or fixtures.
Adjust machine controls to follow and develop weld schedules to get proper weld strength and cosmetic finish.
Observe operation of machine and verify conformance of welded work piece to specifications.
Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment to seam weld metal parts or subassemblies in accordance with dimensional specifications.
Weld joints with consistent acceptable results.
Take the initiative to identify problems, develop alternative and proactive solutions and gather/present information in a timely manner.
Provide training support for all welding operations, including training new hires and providing feedback.
Participate in internal and customer audits, including NADCAP and other industry standards
Perform other duties as assigned.

Welds each stage of bus manufacturing and or bus repair according to processes
Must be able to weld aluminum, metal, and stainless steel
Must be able to drill, grind, sand, fabricate parts, disassemble, and reassemble in related to welding and general repairs
Must be able to read blueprints and engineering change notices and follow instructions to complete plans and repairs
Uses measuring tape, levels, squares for installations based on Engineering documentation (metric is preferred)
Use of standard hand tools where applicable
Use of power tools such as electric and pneumatic tools where applicable
Use of calibration tools
Drilling and handling of material such as (fiberglass, plastics composites, mild steel and aluminum)
Installation and removal of fasteners such as nuts, bolts and rivets
Occasionally apply adhesives and sealants to bus processes
Install and repair bus processes and use mechanical equipment to operational standards
Application of (MIG) welding techniques(preferred)
Proper use of electrical and gas functions on welding machine (preferred)
Cutting equipment such as plasma and acetylene cutter are occasionally used (preferred)

We are looking for a TIG Welder with experience welding and fabricating stainless steel pipes that can contribute roughly 25 hours per week. This is an ongoing part time role that is perfect for someone with the bandwidth to work extra hours in the mornings, evenings, or weekends.
Responsibilities:
TIG welding thin-walled stainless steel tubes, pipes, and other various structures using Miller Syncrowave 180 TIG Welder
Use of fixturing equipment such as magnetic and corner clamps
Use of fabrication equipment including miter saws, band saws, and grinders
Welding structures for the worlds highest throughput metal 3D printing system
Contribute roughly 25 hours per week (either during the work week or on weekends) onsite at our Hawthorne facility
Basic Requirements:
3+ years of TIG welding experience
Experience welding stainless steel
Preferred Skills and Experience:
5+ years of TIG welding experience
Experience with precision welding
Experience welding in an aerospace environment
Experience welding thin-walled pipes, tubes, or other various structures
Ability to perform other fabrication duties in the machine shop if interest / time permits

Compensation
As a growing company, the salary range is intentionally wide as we determine the most appropriate package for each individual taking into consideration years of experience, educational background, and unique skills and abilities as demonstrated throughout the interview process. Our intent is to offer a salary that is commensurate for the company's current stage of development and allows the employee to grow and develop within a role.
In addition to the significant stock option package, the estimated pay range for this role is $40-55/hour,
inclusive of all levels/seniority within this discipline
