This position is for a senior-level welder for TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum vacuum chambers, frames, and fixtures. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in TIG welding of stainless steel or aluminum plates. Our welders work in a clean, organized, temperature-controlled shop. Responsibilities: * Welding of stainless steel or aluminum plate using TIG and MIG welding techniques * Able to fit & weld vacuum chamber tanks ranging in size from 4" to 8' in diameter. * Ability to fit & weld pipe from 1/8" to 36" in diameter. * Proficient in layout skills. * Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine specifications for welding projects. * Performing quality checks on completed work to ensure the finished product meets specifications. * Experience with manual lathes, mills, Iron Worker, metal rolls, grinding and rolling processes, and saws a plus. * Maintaining a safe and organized work environment * Participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvements * Troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high level of quality. * Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. * Ability to work with our engineering team and communicate properly. * Must have a high focus on safety and the ability to learn and follow LACO's safety standards. * We need a hard-working individual who is dependable and on time to work each day.
