The Micro Weld Operator must be able to meet perform the following essential job functions:
- Assemble and test bellows using bill of material, schematics, specifications, parts pick list, and other applicable documentation
- Read and follow production and engineering drawings
- Reads and follows available production documents
- Able to read documents on a computer monitor
- Uses a microscope for all weld assemblies and miniaturize hand tools

Hoppe celebrated its 80th anniversary last year, and we are an established machine shop operating 24/7 and serving (primarily) the aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries. We are continually upgrading and adding new machines to our shop. A recent acquisition is a Lincoln Electric FAB-PAK, GMAW (MIG) robotic welding system. Responsibilities of the Deburr & Welder Operator position include, but are not limited to;
- The individual will become cross-trained in deburring, mechanical assembly, and welder operation and be assigned tasks in each area.
- Remove burrs from metal parts using both hand and air-powered tools.
- Sand and polish the surfaces of metal parts to achieve the specified finish.
- Keep track of part counts and inspect deburred and sanded parts for surface defects.
- Complete assembly tasks involving the use of hand and air-powered tools to install hardware in metal parts.
- Fixture components and operate GMAW (MIG) robotic welding system to produce finished welds and complete parts.
- Fixture completed parts in manually-operated hydraulic equipment to straighten and square them to meet blueprint requirements.
- Inspect completed parts to confirm conformance to blueprint requirements.
- Sand, clean and visually inspect welds and then complete minor weld touch-ups using Millermatic TIG Welder.
- Complete Visible Dye Penetrant Limited Level II Non-Destructive Testing process on each part.
- Complete glass bead blast on all part surfaces to produce final surface condition on the part.

Use band saw to cut parts and create cross-sections to send out for periodic outside testing.

This position of AP Cold (Exit/Trim) Operator is responsible for all operating functions as listed below. Operation of the AP Cold Unit must be understood in total with the focus of utilizing the equipment to meet all the quality and productivity goals as outlined in our quality system. DUTIES

1.) Check schedule of coils to be run to insure correct coil is on the line.

5.) Insure Skin Pass Mill is operating as per work instructions.
