Job Responsibilities
Work in coordination with the Manager and other coworkers to ensure that all jobs are welded to the specifications of each job and meets the outlined requirements.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating equipment using safe work habits.
Inspect welds and work pieces to acceptance of the standard they are working to.
Measure work pieces with straight edges, tape measure, scale, or templates to ensure proper fit.
Weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, invar or other specified alloys per their qualifications and the applicable WPS.
Clamping, holding, tack-welding, bracing, grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Lift or move materials and finished products using overhead cranes / hi-lo
Able to read drawings and weld symbols
Maintains continuity among work shifts by adhering to required documentation and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Pay Rate: $30/hour and $660/week per diem
Job Description:
Complete fillet and butt welds using the SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P process (multi-pass) in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions.
Heat oxygen/propane heating torch.
Perform grinding and pick up work as needed.
Complete air carbon arc gouging.
Properly use fillet and butt gauges.
Must have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of naval/commercial welding experience.
Successfully pass several tests over a three-week period.
Must have reliable transportation.
Familiar with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry.
Pass hair follicle test and background check.
Comfortable with heights and in confined spaces.
Lift 50lbs without assistance.
Must understand the layout of the ship and compartment identification.
Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
Must be a US citizen.

We are looking for a skilled Aluminum MIG Welder to work at our facility in Wixom Michigan. You will be responsible to create welded parts according to blueprints and inspect the welds for accuracy. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, and have pride in their output. The product you build will be integral to assemblies that will be included in the construction of innovative car washes installed both locally and globally.
Responsibilities
High School Diploma or GED.
Welding and technical skills with two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Determine the appropriate welding method based on properties of metal.
Set up components for welding according to blueprints and drawings
Ability to efficiently use a variety of mechanical hand tools, cordless and pneumatic drills and drivers, wrenches, measuring devices, manual lifts etc.
Keep work area, parts, supplies and tools organized. Request repairs and replacement of supplies as needed
Basic math skills for use of measuring and inspection tools
Ability to work on your feet all day, moving continuously and lifting up to 50lbs.
Work in a healthy team environment, assists others when able and as needed
Maintain strict shift attendance compliance
Overtime and weekend work are sometimes required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide technical support in developing and improving welding processes
