Job Summary
Primarily stainless-steel fabrication, straightening, and welding using gas and electric welding equipment. Fabrication of carbon-steel and exotic metals is anticipated. Work is performed in accordance with a Nuclear Quality Assurance program.
Primary Job Responsibilities
* Welding Stainless Steel using TIG, Laser Welding, and MIG technologies.
* Intricate grinding and polishing of welds and Stainless Steel base metal to 32RA surface finish.
* Fabrication by cutting, burning, straightening, and welding various metals.
* Repair equipment by mechanical straightening and welding.
* Identify and mitigate shrinkage and distortion associated with welding.
* Plan and execute work based on technical documentation, drawings, procedures, and information contained within work orders.

Working Environment

This is an on-site swing shift position with a schedule of Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Welder Fabricator saws, cuts, welds and fabricates parts to blueprint specifications utilizing saws, buffers, torches, MIG (mixed inner gas) and Stick welding equipment. Additional skills include; buffing material to AMSI specifications utilizing portable equipment.

There are 3 levels in the Welder Fabricator classification with each advancement being inclusive of the prior in the sequence. Preceding advancement to the next level, team members are required to actively participate in the safety process, have a clean work record clear of any disciplinary actions for 12 months, and have a promotion recommendation by their respective lead and supervisor.

Job Scope: * MIG welding with .035 hardwire * Material reading & blueprint interpretation * Machine setup & adjustments * Weld mild steel, stainless steel, and occasionally aluminum according to blueprints * Inspect welded parts for accuracy and quality * Follow all OSHA and WISHA safety requirements * Operate a forklift as needed * Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment * Communicate machinery or quality issues to management * Other tasks as assigned Requirements: *
