Arconic is currently in search of Fabricator II to join our Kawneer Team in Visalia. The Fabricator II is responsible to run various equipment and hardware applications as needed. Saws, Shrink wrap machines, punch presses, hardware application and boxing. Also, basic PC experience is needed at various positions. The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.32 hour. This is a 2nd shift position, hours are normally from 2:30pm to 11pm. Loads and unloads doors and frames extrusions at saw. Stacks and mark material according to job and ship date. Cut and vinyl Glass top. Perform JDE transactions for packaging. Reads and interprets take-off sheets, cut lists, and custom shop orders to verify location of hardware. Verifies all measurements for accuracy and quality. Knowledge and ability to follow the MDR scrap material process. Cleans work area, tools, and equipment. Performs quality inspections and reports errors. Complete checklists, reports, and logs as needed. Operate and maintain saws shrink wrap area. Apply Hardware Door and Frame. Full-time Description The general purpose of this position is to weld simple to complex components and/or structures while meeting all safety, quality, and schedule requirements. Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to accomplish welding in accordance with customer drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities Using company systems and work methods, you will: Fabricate sheet metal and other materials to exact specifications on provided work orders. Complete assigned jobs on schedule and within budgeted hours. Interpret and work from plans, drawings, and specifications. Perform layout, cutting, forming, welding, grinding, and operation of fabrication machinery. Maintain familiarity and proficiency with all shop machines and tools. Communicate promptly with the supervisor regarding job issues, delays, or needed clarifications. Assist in training others when appropriate. Keep machines, tools, and the work area clean, organized, and safe. Follow all company procedures and safety rules at all times. Submit accurate, readable paperwork in a timely manner. Support a positive, respectful work environment and represent the company professionally. Work overtime when requested to help meet production deadlines. Assist with other shop tasks as directed by the Shop Supervisor/Manager. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in metal fabrication (preferred but not required for candidates with strong aptitude and work ethic) Ability to accurately read a tape measure Basic material handling skills Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to lift and handle materials and shop tools safely Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to retain information and follow instructions Positive attitude; works well with others Commitment to safety and quality workmanship Preferred Experience (Not required training will be provided for the right candidate.) Job Description Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is no ordinary tank construction company. We specialize in the complex and fast-paced environment of tank repair on a nationwide scale. No two tanks are alike, so when they need repair, they often pose unique or complicated technical issues. Our experienced engineering staff are well-versed in API 650, API 653, AWWA D100, AWWA D103, API 12D, and other tank specifications. We build and repair welded above-ground storage tanks (ASTs), bolted tanks, and related structures. Day to Day Duties: Performing arc and torch cutting and gouging. Using generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and air tools. Welding plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 stick (SMAW), flux core (FCAW), and submerged arc automatic machines (3 o'clock and “goat”/tractor). Using come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and other lifting equipment. Using tank shell buggies, tank scaffolding, tank ladders, and other specialty equipment. Performing vacuum box tests, oil tests, dye penetrant tests, and other non-destructive quality examinations. Using gas monitors, fresh air kits, respirators, emergency rescue kits, and other safety equipment. Operating forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other large lifting equipment. Knowledge of crane operations (including rigging and signaling) Reading detailed erection and fabrication drawings. Planning the sequence and methods of fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks. Completing job safety analysis, safety audits, site-specific training, and other safety training. Follow directions and work professionally with other crew members. \ Other duties as assigned. Requirements Have great communication and organization skills. The Tile Fabrication associate is primarily responsible for sorting, packaging, arranging tile into mosaic patterns. This is done through the safe operating of all fabrication equipment. You are expected to work diligently and have a keen eye for attention to detail, help maintain an organized, clean and safe fabrication department and perform all other required tile fabrication tasks. Duties Fabricate tile pieces to specific measurements Safely operate various cutting and assembly machinery Clean, vacuum, dust, polish and all other related procedures for the maintenance of the building Attend all safety meetings and uphold all fabrication safety protocol and instruction Work cooperatively in team environment Work within the framework of the company's defined policies, procedures, goals, and directives.
