Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments. Follow blueprints to arrange metal pieces and temporarily fix them into position before welding. Assemble parts and tack per prints, drawings or by instruction of supervisor or shop foreman. Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Make recommendations for process improvements. Perform equipment inspections prior to use. Work with team to balance workload to meet On Time Delivery goals. Manage company resources to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction. Deburr and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture. Maintain professionalism in speech and action at all times.
