Qualifications

Job Summary
Welders are responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing stainless steel and/or aluminum metal structures and equipment. Welders should be able to read blueprints and schematics in addition to being able to set up parts of the welding process including grinding, welding, and drilling
Be qualified to weld according to Seagrave qualifications (1F GTAW, 2F and 3G short circuit GMAW, 3G GTAW aluminum)
Work in booths with parts and subassemblies with/without fixtures

This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety procedures for hot work and confined space operations. Roles & Responsibilities
Weld and fuse metal parts using TIG welding equipment per specifications.
Connect and regulate hoses, torches, and gas flow for oxygen/fuel or shielding gas mixtures.
Ignite torch, regulate flame, and preheat workpieces prior to welding or bending.
Examine and measure workpieces using straightedges, templates, or other gauges to ensure conformance.
Prepare and inspect work areas, ensuring hot work permits and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures are in place.
Clean, prepare, and inspect joints before welding; verify weld quality and report or correct defects.
Dismantle assemblies or cut scrap using flame-cutting or plasma-arc equipment.
Position, secure, and align materials using hoists, cranes, or hand tools.
Guide torch or electrode to straighten, bend, melt, or build up metal.
Climb ladders, work on scaffolds, and signal crane operators as needed.
Document existing conditions and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years minimum TIG welding experience (shipyard experience required)
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test
Must have reliable transportation
Strong understanding of welding procedures, drawings, and safety protocols
Pay:
$29/hour + Per Diem if qualified

Must be available to work any of the below schedules
Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm
Monday-Thursday 4pm-2am
Sunday, Friday, Saturday 5am-5pm, Thursday 5am-9am
