Job Description
Welding & Fabrication Instructor - Shape the Trade. Lead the Next Generation.
A respected, well-established technical training program in the Rocky Mountain region is looking for a skilled welder or fabricator who's ready to bring their expertise into the classroom. If you've spent years in the field and enjoy mentoring others, this is a chance to pass on your craft in a meaningful, hands-on way-without stepping away from the tools.
This full-time teaching opportunity is ideal for someone who values precision, safety, and pride in the trades. You'll be instructing students in real-time using industry-grade equipment and processes-helping them prepare for real careers in welding and fabrication. No prior teaching experience required-just your skill, integrity, and a passion for the work.
The Role
You'll deliver hands-on instruction in core welding methods including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW. You'll guide students through shop safety protocols, blueprint reading, layout and measuring, and the safe use of CNC equipment and automated cutting tools. You'll also collaborate with other instructors, provide support to learners at all levels, and use digital tools for grading and course planning.
The Culture
The training team is built around experience, respect for the trades, and a commitment to student success. This is a setting where what you know is valued, and your impact is visible every day. The program emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and a no-nonsense approach to teaching real-world skills.
The Community
The surrounding area offers the kind of lifestyle that many only dream of-quiet mornings, tight-knit neighborhoods, and easy access to world-class outdoor recreation. Whether you're into hunting, fishing, hiking, or exploring the backcountry, you'll have it right outside your door. It's a place where hard work is respected, and your off-hours can be just as rewarding as your time in the shop.
What You Bring
7+ years of experience in welding and metal fabrication
Comfort with blueprint reading, layout, measuring, and safety protocols
Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) CNC and digital shop tools
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Industry certifications (AWS, API, etc.) are a bonus, not a requirement
Willingness to learn instructional software and tools
If you're ready to take your welding career in a more purpose-driven direction, this is your chance to lead, teach, and inspire-while still working with your hands.
Apply or send your resume confidentially to learn more. All inquiries will be handled with discretion.
