We're looking for Progressive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. Progressive Care Unit RNs will utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations. Close observation is necessary as many PCU patients receive a significant amount of complex medications, sometimes through an intravenous line that may need to be adjusted or titrated. The PCU RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, and the PCU is also known as cardiac stepdown, medical stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and ER holding. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients. Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs. Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays. Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology. PCU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Position Overview The Assistant Principal of Culture (AP of Culture) serves as a core member of the School Leadership Team and reports directly to the Principal. This leader is responsible for building and sustaining a safe, structured, and joyful school environment where students thrive academically and socially. The AP of Culture leads school-wide systems for student culture and discipline, coaches teachers on classroom culture and management, engages deeply with families, and contributes to the professional development of staff. Additionally, the AP of Culture supports instructional growth through teacher observations, coaching cycles, and professional development aligned to school priorities. Key Responsibilities Student Culture & Discipline Lead the development and execution of a positive, achievement-oriented school culture by creating strong school-wide systems. Model and train staff on effective student engagement, classroom management, and discipline strategies. Serve as the point person for student discipline, removals, and suspensions, ensuring restorative and student-centered responses. Partner with social workers to support students in crisis and implement individualized behavior plans. Facilitate community meetings, advisory structures, and SEL programming. Celebrate student growth, achievement, and character in visible and consistent ways. Staff Development & Coaching Observe and coach teachers regularly, with a focus on classroom culture, behavior management, and instructional delivery. Provide real-time coaching, modeling, and targeted feedback to strengthen teacher practice. Plan and facilitate professional development on school culture, discipline systems, and SEL integration. Collaborate with school leaders to design and lead summer training, PD days, and weekly staff development. Maintain a visible presence in classrooms to support both student and teacher growth. Instructional Leadership Conduct teacher observations and provide actionable feedback that integrates high-quality lesson planning, strong teacher execution, and mission-aligned classroom culture. Support lesson plan feedback and co-create strategies to improve student engagement and independence. Use data to identify trends in student learning and culture, and drive teacher action steps accordingly. Participate in teacher performance evaluations and support the induction/onboarding of new staff members. Plan and facilitate school-wide professional development to help educators build their tool box of classroom management strategies. Family & Community Engagement Build strong, trust-based relationships with families through consistent communication. Bachelor's degree and active NC teaching license (or ability to obtain reciprocity). 3+ years of full-time K-12 teaching experience. 1+ years of Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, or managing teachers or teams of teachers. Preferred Master's degree in education, leadership, or a related field. 5+ years of teaching experience, with proven results in raising student achievement. The Commissioning Technician will be supporting the Commissioning Manager with planning and overseeing the execution of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance testing activities for industrial facilities which include LNG, power generation and other types of installations. These projects may consist of cryogenic tanks, turnkey cryogenic facilities, Thermal vacuum chambers, fossil fuel power generation and renewable generation sites. Candidates can expect 100% travel and be assigned to project sites for extended periods inside the US. Essential Functions Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its “Core Values.” Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” Participates in certain key design activities such as P&ID reviews and 3D model reviews to provide input from a pre-commissioning and commissioning perspective. Support the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities that are occurring at the jobsite under the supervision of the Commissioning Manager. Manages and tracks commissioning support craft workers in the performance of pre-commissioning, commissioning and testing activities. Assist the Commissioning Manager in implementing and controlling a Lock Out, Tagout System during the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Supports the generation and compilation of the documentation (signoff sheet) required to document pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Supports the Commissioning Manager in the preparation of final handover documentation packages and in the execution of safety and turnover review meetings with pre-commissioning and commissioning content. Assists the Commissioning Manager in supervising all equipment suppliers' or other third-party service technician work and visits. Assists the Commissioning Manager in scheduling and coordinating all first fill activities, as relevant for the facility. Assist in developing a detailed plan and schedule for the execution of performance test activities and develops associated test procedures under direction of the Commissioning Manager. Assists the Commissioning Manager in organizing and leading the performance tests at the jobsite. Assists in the preparation of estimates for pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance testing activities. Travel to meetings with customers and vendors as required. Works on special projects and performs other related duties, as directed. Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred; or equivalent combination of education/experience in lieu of degree. 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction, including experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing activities. Knowledge of industrial construction in the petrochemical, gas, aerospace or power generation industries. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and good organizational skills. Ability to perform with minimal supervision. Ability to work on multiple activities at one time. Strong computer skills, including Excel and MS Word are preferred.
