They will be expected to work within the policies and procedures of Family & Community Services and work toward the maintenance of excellent service standards and professional practices. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To assist in the efficient running of the facility and its therapeutic programming and other general duties associated. 2. While utilizing trauma-informed care, assist clients upon shelter entrance with required paperwork, continued assistance throughout their shelter stay by providing supplemental case management, and assist in communication and coordination with various agencies to secure appointments and resources. 3. Provide a level of support necessary to ensure all clients experience an improved quality of life while in our shelters. 4. Use a strength-based approach to help clients in working towards their goals of obtaining independent living. 5. Accompany clients to appointments, as needed. 6. Organize, plan and lead groups for clients in shelter to help promote positive interactions and group work (i.e. affirmation boards, book club, yoga, etc.), on a voluntary basis, when time allows. 7.
