Trained on several lines. Primary responsibilities include: Performs work in compliance with standard operating procedures and rotates through various stations on the lines, where needed, to ensure production needs are met. Perform and complete accurate and timely quality check sheets as defined on machine checklist and understand noncompliant product holds and make corrective actions as needed. Perform to machine standard run rates, along increasing efficiency and reducing shrink by playing an active role with the team members to meet company goals. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work environment. Complies with safety policies, participates in the plant's safety program and is proactive with Safety concerns. Work environment includes, but is not limited to, the following known allergens - dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, wheat, soy, and egg. Pay: $22.42/hr. Night shift will receive an additional $1.50/hr for night shift differential. Shift/Hours: Approximate day shift start times are between 2:50 AM - 7:50 AM with normal shift lengths of 10 -12 hours. Approximate night shift start times are between 2:50 PM - 9:50 PM with normal shift lengths of 10 -12 hours. There may be times when the assigned main line may not be running and will require this position to work another line with a closely similar shift time. Schedules are done two weeks in advance. Operates and controls machines to manufacture components. Loads components in the machine, cycles machine and detects changes or malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Adjust or change tools as needed. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly, perform efficient quality. Perform multiple functions including changeover, tool tracking and changes, machine set up, etc. with thorough understanding of all equipment operations. Perform inspection of machine components. This individual will be in charge of setting up the machine, operating the machine, and tend machines to cut, punch, crimp, notch, bend, material according to desired specification for Jamco Products. RESPONSIBILITIES Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting/folding lines, and dimensions and tolerances. Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices. Start machines, choose correct program for desired part, monitor their operations, and record operational data. Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies. Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers. Examine completed work pieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces, sort defective pieces according to types of flaws and record it properly. Performs Routine Maintenance including cleaning and lubricating machines. Grind out burrs and sharp edges, using portable grinders. Uses forklifts and cranes to move parts as necessary.
