A Brief Overview This position performs a variety of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients using high field strength magnets and related equipment. The MRI Technologist performs MRI imaging sequences necessary to reach a medical diagnosis and decision. Position Function: Under the direction of a radiologist, performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exams for subsequent evaluation by attending physician. Assists physician as requested in the selection of practical applications and technical factors. Qualifications and Standards Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology. One year current work experience or equivalent time as an MRI technologist devoted full-time to a high field MRI scanner.
