For 32 years, Donna W. Hyland has helped shape the delivery of healthcare to children in Georgia and beyond. First as Chief Financial Officer, then Chief Operating Officer and now as President and Chief Executive Officer, Hyland has overseen monumental growth and achievement at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She was instrumental during the merger of Egleston Children’s Health Care System and Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center, as well as the addition of Hughes Spalding and Marcus Autism Center, which led to the formation of what is now one of the largest pediatric healthcare systems in the country. Today, Children’s is consistently ranked as a top pediatric hospital by U.S. News & World Report and one of Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For.” Hyland’s dedication to pediatric healthcare has resulted in recognition as one of Atlanta and Georgia’s most influential leaders. Her dedication to the community extends outside of Children’s, where she serves on the boards of: Atlanta Committee for Progress, Inc.; Cousins Properties Incorporated; Georgia Health Information Network; Genuine Parts Company; Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee; SunTrust Bank Georgia; and Stone Mountain Industrial Park, Inc. Hyland was appointed by First Lady Sandra Deal to serve on the Georgia Children’s Cabinet.

Howard P. Kern is President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sentara Healthcare, a not-for-profit integrated health system headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Kern has nearly 40 years of executive management experience spanning hospital, managed health insurance, ambulatory services, and healthcare finance leadership. Mr. Kern became President & CEO of Sentara Healthcare in March, 2016. He began his career with Sentara in 1980 as an Administrative Resident at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he served in numerous positions prior to being named Senior Vice President for the health system in 1995. Mr. Kern was appointed as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 1998 and was promoted to President & Chief Operating Officer in January, 2003.

Barclay Berdan is a VP/Administrator at Texas Health Resources; Chief Executive Officer at Texas Health Resources; and Board Member at PREMIER, INC. and is based in Arlington, Texas. He has experience at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and TENET and has worked as Senior Exec VP:Performance at Texas Health Resources, Senior Exec VP/COO at Texas Health Resources, and Executive Vice President at Texas Health Resources. Barclay works or has worked as MEMBER at CASCADE PACIFIC COUNCIL BOY; BOARD MEMBER at American Excess Insurance Exchange, Risk Retention Group; and CHAIRMAN at American Heart Association of Tarrant County. He attended University of Chicago Booth School of Business between 1976 and 1978 and Texas Christian University between 1971 and 1976.
