Job Summary:
Functions under the direction of the IT Manager. Application Analyst provides intermediate system-level support of multi-user clinical and financial applications, operating systems, hardware, software, and reporting tools, including installation, configuration, training, maintenance, and support of these systems. Equipment
- Demonstrates the ability to adjust technique so that patient receives the lowest possible dose of ionizing radiation and that image quality is maintained.
- Reports problems regarding malfunctioning equipment to supervisor or service provider, so that problem can be corrected in a timely manner.
- Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment in accordance with infection control policy and department schedule.
- Ability to operate all aspects of the system.
- Ability to operate all radiographic equipment in a safe and competent manner. Assuring that equipment is not abused and is left in good working order. Patient Care
- Obtains complete clinical history, gathers examination data and assesses for contraindicating conditions.
- Follows established procedures for the administration of contrast medias so that no patient condition deteriorates, and no patient suffers undue pain, due to error or poor technique if applicable.
- Ensures that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left marker are utilized appropriately.
- Reviews radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and releases patients.
- Responds to emergency situations and provides for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment if applicable.
- Assists other technologists in all modalities when needed if applicable.
- Observes patient condition and properly evaluates situations when physician intervention is necessary so that no patient condition deteriorates as the result of misjudgment.
- Verifies two unique patient identifiers and correct clinical order prior to performing a procedure per policy.
- Ensures patient's privacy and comfort is accommodated.

- Studies that have been transmitted after hours by teleradiography are printed and scanned into PACS, if applicable.
- Checks for prior exams and assures that they are loaded, if necessary, and properly labeled prior to sending to PACS. Operations
- Restocks linens and supplies, and maintains Diagnostic Imaging Services in clean and orderly condition.
- Transports patients, positions patients, and helps them on and off procedure table.
- Performs patient charging activities on the day the service is rendered.
- Applies shielding, supportive and immobilization devices and equipment.

Mercy Health Physicians-Youngstown is seeking a board certified or board eligible clinical cardiac electrophysiologist to join our Heart & Vascular Institute. Primary responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient clinical care and procedural competence in diagnostic electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, and device implantation. Competency in complex ablation, lead extractions, and left atrial appendage closure is not required, but will be looked upon favorably. Candidates are expected to have completed fellowship training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
The Mercy Health Physicians Youngstown Heart & Vascular Institute is the largest and highest volume electrophysiology practice in the region, with a total of 15 employed cardiologists including 5 interventional cardiologists and 3 EP specialists. There are 13 advanced practice clinicians supporting delivery of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position will be considered 100% electrophysiology, and the call model is 1:4 electrophysiology-only call. A newly built state-of-the-art electrophysiology lab and hybrid operating room, both equipped with 60 Vantage View monitors, have been added to an existing fully functional electrophysiology lab. Both electrophysiology labs are equipped with 3D mapping, with the team currently using Carto Biosense. Clinical research is ongoing and expanding, and our brand-new electrophysiology lab also includes a separate viewing room equipped with 2 viewing screens for education and training purposes.
The Mercy Health Heart & Vascular group also includes 3 board certified cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 board certified vascular surgeons, who collaborate with interventional cardiology and electrophysiology as part of a structural heart team. Electrophysiology and structural heart cases are supported by 3 cardiothoracic anesthesiologists who are board certified in TEE, as well as a team of CRNAs. The service line performs high volumes of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases annually. This specialist team is highly integrated and includes a multidisciplinary valve clinic that supports a robust TAVR and MitraClip program, and the electrophysiology group provides the only left atrial appendage closure and lead management programs in the region. The main campus hospital is a level 1 trauma center, is a certified stroke center, is chest pain certified with PCI, and is the only sepsis center of excellence in Ohio.

GENERAL SUMMARY
This position involves skilled professional and technical work involving patient contact and the performance of various neurophysiological tests. Work is
performed under general supervision in accordance with established procedures. Performance requires good judgment and action in specific situations.
Performs test on neonate, pediatric and adult patients.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Registered EEG Technician preferred.
2. One to two years of experience working as an EEG Technician or in the health care field preferred.
3. Must be able to properly apply electrodes, and manipulate and troubleshoot equipment.
4. Ability to elicit full patient cooperation in performance of tests and observing and handling people who may be apprehensive.
5. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and learn new equipment and procedures.
6. Ability to relate to co-workers, nurses, physicians, and others in a professional and courteous manner.
7. Ability to maintain professional confidences and earn the patient's trust.
8. Ability to learn and follow good infection control practices and have a thorough knowledge of universal precautions.
9. BLS trained according to AHA guidelines.
10. Ability to push equipment outside of the lab, and the ability to learn and perform the proper technique of transporting, lifting, and moving
patients.
11. Must be able to type 35-40 words per minute, and properly perform other clerical function.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Performs tests in the EEG Laboratory and portable procedures outside of the
lab. These include, but not limited to: Electroencephalogram (EEG),
Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials (BAEP), and Visual Evoked Potentials
(VEP). Long term monitoring for epilepsy (LTME), and Ambulatory Cassette
Recording (ACR).
2. Inspects and tests the above equipment to insure proper operating conditions;
makes minor adjustments and repairs. Assists with general maintenance.
3. Measures and applies electrodes in accordance with the “International 10-20
Electrode Placement System”.
4. Applies special electrodes such as nasopharyngeal, EKG, and nasal and chest
respiration's, as necessary.
5. Arranges special montages of paired electrodes when there is some suspicion
of focal or isolated activity on the EEG record.
6. Schedules all patient testing.
7. Is involved in training and orientation necessary for new employees as directed.
8. Compiles data and generates reports used to measure various aspects of care
for the Quality Assessment/Improvement Program of the department.
9. Completes month/year end reports and other related reports when necessary.
10. Keeps the Medical Director and Manager informed of the day-to-day activity
of the department.
11. Orders supplies and reviews any special equipment needed for the department.
12. Is subject to “call in” and “on call” during non-working hours.
13. Types and prepares report forms, patient folders, and other general office
duties.
14. Inputs charges in the computer for services rendered to patients. Generates
proper face sheets and billing information.
15. Confers with patients, explaining test procedures, to allay fears and anxieties
associated with equipment and procedures in order to elicit patient cooperation
during testing.
16. Observes the patient and reports and documents any unusual behavior, such as
seizures and any other problems. Follows proper procedures in case of
emergencies.
17. Transports patients to and from the lab, lifts and moves patients and assists
patients from wheelchair to testing chairs.
18. Prioritizes and completes tasks within specified time frames.
19. Attends meetings and seminars to stay informed in the field.
20. Participates in the evaluation of new equipment/procedures. Meets with sales
personnel as necessary.
21. Practices universal precautions, which are appropriate for each given situation.
22. Performs studies as appropriate on neonate, pediatric, and adult patients.

Summary of Primary Function
Performs various general duties and assists in the provision of patient care of all age groups as directed by the Registered Nurse and Organizational Leadership. Provides direct care for patients, answers call lights, performs clerical/courier/transporter functions. Collects data through a variety of means including observation and through the use of instrumentation. Recognizes and communicates pertinent information to multidisciplinary teams to ensure prompt attention to patient and departmental needs.
Essential Job Function
Assist patients with measures of comfort and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, feeding, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
Assist patients with mobility by performing active and passive range of motion, lifting, turning, repositioning, ambulation, and transportation.
Performs routine patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse including but not limited to obtaining specimens, recording vital signs, applying ice/heat/compress/ dressings, intake/output, point of care testing, 12 lead EKG, and reapplying monitors. May perform CPR. Explains procedures to patients allaying apprehension and eliciting cooperation. May assist in restraining combative patients.
Performs tasks and procedures independently after successful performance with a RN or ONLY under the direct supervision and responsibility of a RN including but not limited to changing peripheral IV site dressings, phlebotomy, removal of peripheral IV's, inserting and/or removing urinary catheters, performing simple trach care, administering non-medicated enemas, performing oral suctioning, changing ostomy appliances and performing ostomy care, and assisting with transferring patients to a higher level of care.
Assists nursing team in the process of admitting, transferring, and discharging patients, including notifying appropriate individuals and departments, assembles patient charts and related paperwork, assisting and performing environmental orientation of patients, preparing, stocking, cleaning of rooms, documenting historical information, and securing belongings and valuables.
Clerical skills/duties including but not limited to courier services, answering phones/call lights and orders, obtains, stocks, places, tests, discontinues, and removes patient equipment and supplies. Communicates and Documents pertinent patient and general information and services provided. Identifies, troubleshoots, and works with others as applicable to resolve issues and concerns. Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs upon arrival and when leaving.
