To provide professional, compassionate care, comprehensive documentations and timely collection of forensic evidence to victims of sexual and domestic violence, elder abuse and human trafficking referred to the CARES program (Center for Abuse and Rape Emergency Services) for care. These victims may be male or female and age 14 years and up. This position is an on-call position. The SANE/FNE will be responsible for answering call within 10 minutes of call and responding to the hospital in a timely manner assigned by the CARES Coordinator.

Job Responsibilities:
Responds to the hospital in a timely manner according to TriHealth guidelines.
Determines the need for advocacy agencies and law inforcement presence if not already available. Collaborates with these agencies to provide quality service to all clients.
Collaborates with the ED staff nurses and physicians regarding the care involving evidence collection for victims of abuse.
Utilizes assessment skills to determine patient needs based on patient information and history. Takes into account the individuals cognitive, physical, cultural, emotional/psychosocial, and spiritual needs when communicating and collecting evidence on patients. Function effectively within an environment of crisis involving sensitive interpersonal violence issues, often in conjuction with physical, psychological trauma and substance use.
Performs technical skills according to policy and procedure and accepted standards within their area of practice. Safely administers medications/treatments as indicated. Uses all equipment in a safe, appropriate manner.
Documents pertinent data on CARES records and provides the documents to the CARES Coordinator. Maintains chain of custody and ensures record is secured prior to finishing case. Will consult with the CARES Coordinator regarding cases requiring court appearances.
Assumes organizational and educational responsibilities. Identifies areas for professional and self-improvement through self-assessment and peer review, as well as the continuing education of team members continuing education, formal education, professional organization membership, and/or certification. Shares knowledge and skills with colleagues and others. Provides peers with constructive feedback regarding skills and knowledge. This 38-bed unit provides comprehensive treatment for individuals requiring pre/post cardiac catheterization, management of NSTEMI, heart failure, arrhythmias, and those undergoing structural heart procedures such as TAVR, WATCHMAN, and MitraClip. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is skilled in electrophysiology, caring for patients who need pacemakers, ablations, and defibrillator procedures. 4200 Tele Unit focuses on acute structural heart conditions.
With continuous cardiac monitoring, our staff is equipped to manage the complex needs of patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiac concerns.
As a stroke-certified unit, the 4200 Telemetry Unit also focuses on delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care to optimize recovery and enhance long-term outcomes. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care, utilizing the latest in medical technology, while offering compassionate support for patients and their families throughout their hospital experience. 4200 Tele Unit works extremely close with our ICUs and is a great pathway to grow in Critical care.

Summary of Primary Functions
The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) provides, coordinates, plans, and evaluates the care of the patient in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team and within the established nursing process framework. Essential Job Functions
* System Flex Team Registered Nurse is hired with the expectation and understanding they must float to assigned sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System outside of their home market.
* Conducts an individualized patient assessment to include psychosocial, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient's immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by the Bon Secours Mercy Health System facility's policies, procedures, or protocols.
* Formulates and implements a plan of care for each patient which includes interventions, evaluation of response to interventions and documentation as appropriate to condition and age.
* Delivers care with appropriate age and cultural competence that is individualized for the patient reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team incorporating professional practice model into the care delivery.
* Demonstrates awareness of and supports Bon Secours Mercy Health departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities as a patient advocate.
* Maintains in good standing current RN licensure and required certifications.

**Job Summary:**

**Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position**
The Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifying and determining the priority of patient's problems/needs, and evaluating the process and outcome of nursing care, all in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
