Job Summary:
The RN Clinical Float Pool assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for the organization including those for patient assessment and transfer. The primary function of this job, based on hiring tier, is to be available and flexible to float to various departments, and sites throughout the markets within the organization to provide patient care, which could include but not limited to scheduling day of staffing, more than one assignment location within a single shift, travel assignments, or seasonal staffing patterns. Participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of a clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the RegisteredNurse.
Essential Functions:
RN Clinical Float Pool are hired with the understanding they must float based on the tiers below:
Tier 1: Float expectation within a single site based on competency
Tier 2: Float expectation within multiple sites within a single market based on competency
Tier 3: Float expectation within multiple sites across more than one market based on competency
Demonstrates awareness of and supports organization departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities.
Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery
Plans and coordinates nursing care and clinical decisions using the best available evidence.
Formulates and implements a plan of care for each patient which includes interventions, evaluation of response to interventions and documentation as appropriate to condition and age.

Education:
* Associate's of Nursing (required)
* Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) (preferred)
Required Licensing & Certifications:
Current nursing license in the designated state of employment (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Various (required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS - AHA) -American Heart Association required based on specialty assignment
Experience:
* 1 year of experience as an RegisteredNurse in acute care (required)

Summary:
The RegisteredNurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care and teaching through the nursing process. The RegisteredNurse directs and guides the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing, and the established policies and procedures of the organization. Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.
Knowledge and Abilities:
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrates knowledge and skill in nursing theory and practice of nursing process.
* Nurses assigned to a specialty unit will be required to meet criteria established for that unit.
Job Requirements:
* Education: Graduate of an accredited college/university or institution.
* Experience: Two years of recent clinical experience in one of the four designated areas. Must be able to circulate multiple specialty service lines independently including but not limited to; ortho, neuro, davinci and trauma.
* Must possess excellent assessment and communication skills.
* Specialty certification in one area of usual assignment is preferred.
* Successful completion of all required competencies.
* Registration, Certification or Licensure Requirement: Current Ohio RN licensure; BLS certification required. Other certification required per department policy.
Hours:
* Shift: Nights
* Hours: 7:00PM - 7:30AM
* Hours per pay period: 72

General Summary:
Functioning as the leader of the Care Delivery Team, the Clinical Nurse I (CN I) assumes the responsibility of directing care for a team of patients, using the CN II as a resource. The nursing care reflects independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, and sociocultural needs. Demonstrates competencies essential in the use of all equipment utilized in the care of patient age groups as indicated. A CN I is the entry step to the Mercy (CHP) Clinical Ladder. The CN I has one year to progress to the CN II level.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills, Etc.:
Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing. Current licensure from the state of Ohio as a RegisteredNurse and current BLS/CPR certification. Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period. Completes Orientation Checklist. Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety & CPR/BLS Recertification. Must have theoretical knowledge combined with beginning level clinical experience in providing nursing care for a variety of patients. Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds.
Working Conditions:
Moderate level of physical exertion required. Occasional exposure to adverse conditions.
Reporting Relationships:
Responsible to Nurse Manager, or in his/her absence, the Administrative Supervisor. May receive direct instructions from CN II or Charge Nurse.
Workers supervised: Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
Shift/Schedule
Full Time - Scheduled for 36 weekly hours
Shift Time - 7pm-730am
This position will have scheduled shifts every other weekend and holiday.

Job Summary:
The Operating Room RegisteredNurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:
Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
Determining the priority of the patient's problems and needs
Implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care
Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment
Observes the surgery and surgical team from a broad perspective and assists the team to create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient
Responsible for managing the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinating the needs of the surgical team with other care providers
Provides pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions
Other duties as assigned
Education:
* Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
Certifications:
Current state licensure as a RegisteredNurse (RN)
BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS and/or PALS may be required within 6 months based on specific surgical department requirements)
CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse (preferred, not required)
SGNA Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (preferred, not required)
Experience:
* Two years of RN experience in Critical Care Department (preferred, not required)
* Completion of OR internship program (preferred, not required)
Training:
* Successful completion of Peri-op 101 (preferred, not required)

Summary of Primary Function
