We are currently seeking a new Case Management Specialist, also known as a Junior Legal Assistant, to join our law firm. The main responsibilities for this role include reviewing and compiling legal documents to support processing, managing the workflow of files, and ensuring that court deadlines are being met. Our Case Management Specialist will also regularly contact attorneys and the courts to gather required details and obtain case updates. Responsibilities: Sorts, files, locates, and distributes legal documentation to the department and WWR Attorneys Reviews and assembles legal documents and materials for court proceedings, ensuring proper signatures are obtained, documents are notarized, appropriate exhibits are attached, etc. Obtains missing and/or updated information via telephone, internet, mail, and fax Monitors the account case status and advances accounts to appropriate next case action as needed Photocopies, faxes, e-files and mails documents Contacts courts to verify service of documents Checks status of cases and filings Complete all required training applicable to this position Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position Other duties, as assigned The Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4:45pm Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1 year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: * Supervises, coaches, monitors, motivates, advises and provides feedback to Department staff to ensure day to day activities are being handled as needed. * Ensure staff is meeting production goals, complying with company standards and federal collection laws. * Evaluates employee performance, administers discipline, and maintains proper records. * Recruiting partnership for quality employees to provide high-quality customer support. * Motivating and supervising employees. * Evaluating the performance of your assigned employees, delivering positive and/or negative feedback, and addressing any shortcomings. * Reviews employee e-time entries, approves overtime and time-off requests, and coordinates employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing. * Provide technical, advisory, and moral support to the department to ensure both positive customer and team member experiences. * Conduct daily and month end reviews and audits of processes and transactions to ensure all are accurately recorded. * Ensure all batches have been completed prior to end of day. * Evaluating and reporting on department metrics to upper management. * Developing strategies to improve department metrics and performance. * Improving the work environment and operations of your department and the organization as a whole. * Coordinates and oversees special projects. * Recommends new approaches to drive continuous improvement. * Complete all required training applicable to assigned position. * Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. * Additional duties as requested or required. Qualifications: * Associate's degree from college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * 2+ years' experience in related field with progressive levels of responsibility. * Displays strong leadership skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations. * Strong communication skills, both oral and written. * Strong interpersonal skills, high energy level and positive attitude. * Knowledge of applicable collection laws, where applicable. * Proficient skills in Microsoft applications which include Word and Excel.
