    Our Powerlink organization is looking for a Carrier Operations Rep in Omaha. This is a Night Time 7 on 7 off position (7 12 hour shifts and then an entire week off). Carrier Operations Representatives are responsible for locating, onboarding, and communicating with the trucking companies that physically move our clients' freight.. They build and develop carrier relationships and negotiate competitive carrier rates; the help grow company revenue, volume, and profit while managing the carrier to ensure proper communication, service, and shipment visibility. Carrier operations representatives also ensure that freight is picked up, transported, and delivered on time to meet and/or exceed our client's expectations. The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed: * Provide operational support to Capacity Managers & Strategic Capacity -Managers who have an established book of business of dedicated carriers with high volume. * Source and procure carrier services through negotiation on a consistent or transactional basis while meeting individual, team, and company revenue, volume, and margin goals. * Is responsible for the execution of all network freight. * Prospect and cultivate new carriers to establish capacity through multiple means. * Ensure timely pickup and delivery of customer freight * Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective carriers * Updating internal software and platforms * Communicating across departments to ensure issues are resolved promptly and professionally * Working closely with carriers utilizing Werner Edge digital platform * Solely responsible for ensuring electronic load tracking is accepted on shipments when available * Assist with tracking shipments and communicate with tracking and tracing department to serve as overflow and ensure all loads are tracked without falling behind. * Identify carriers that are having difficulties and assist in troubleshooting * Relay load updates internally to the proper parties * Be the sole point of contact for carriers once booked on a load Reiterate all load details to drivers before loads are picked up * Coach other employees on effective problem-solving and daily execution activities on an as needed basis. * Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel. * Other duties as assigned CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION This position will have high exposure to confidential information relative to Werner pricing and customer base. The Talent Acquisition Partner will work with hiring managers and business unit leaders to understand business and staffing needs, provide market intelligence, develop recruiting and sourcing strategies, and measure and monitor the quality and cycle time for execution of the recruiting process. Responsibilities: * Define hiring needs and determine sourcing strategy by conducting timely and effective intake sessions with hiring manager, define the needs, set expectations and plan for interviews. * Develop quality and effective job requisition, translating hiring manager needs into effective advertisements. * Identify proactive and effective sourcing strategies to ensure a diverse slate of candidates, providing regular updates to hiring manager, and/or partnering with business partner * Work in compliance with company hiring policies as well as legal requirements by effectively screening, interviewing and selecting candidates. * Respect the candidate's time throughout the interview process, including timely candidate follow-up * Possess strong ability to screen, interview, and prepare an ideal candidate within an appropriate and consistent timeline. * Apply behavioral interviewing techniques, lead data integration sessions with hiring manager to assist in selection decision. * Build candidate relationship, articulating the benefits of the role and the organization. * Initiate and drive job offer process; may present verbal offer and secure verbal acceptance. * Stay engaged with candidate during post offer stage. * Initiate pre-employment due-diligence and on-boarding. * Comply with all employment laws/legal requirements. * Ensure applicant tracking system compliance; provides accurate and timely information for monthly, quarterly, and yearly placement/close requirements. * Keep abreast of market trends and workforce availability. * Support other talent management team sourcing activities as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent experience required. * 2+ years of full cycle recruitment (sourcing, candidate assessment, interviewing, offer negotiation) * Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills and diplomacy when dealing with internal and external clients * Experience with applicant tracking systems, Workday HCM preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Detail oriented, organized, able to multi-task * Able to effectively manage multiple and sometimes changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Able to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team We know benefits are critical and we are committed to offering comprehensive and affordable options for you and your loved ones.
