As the Manager - Operations, you will manage multiple priorities in a customer-centered environment. You will lead a diverse group of team members, which can include Operations Associates, Drivers and Administrative Coordinators. You will interact with other internal departments such as Sales in addition to external customer support and interactions. Responsibilities:
Manages all aspects of the location to include accurate on time order fulfillment and shipping, on time receiving, manage working capital (as it relates to Operations), inventory and quality management systems.
Management responsibility of a location that could include multiple warehouse management systems and/or multifaceted customer value added services.
Maintains a safe, secure and inclusive workplace.
Manages, coaches, mentors, hires and trains employees. This also includes performance management.
Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and audit standards (e.g. internal controls, ISO 9000).
Manages expense-based profit and loss statement (P&L) to plan.
Drives efficiencies within the facility using LEAN methodologies.
Maintains facility tour-ready standards.
Ensures preventative maintenance of the facility and all equipment (e.g. material handling equipment, wire cutting machines, racking systems, warehouse infrastructure).
Matches facility capacities to customer/sales professionals' expectations. Works with sales professionals and leadership to ensure alignment with market strategy and accurately set customer expectations.
Works with other support departments such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources and Finance.
Actively engaged in developing annual budgets for the facility.
Qualifications:
High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
5+ years' operations experience, specifically in distribution center facilities preferred
Experience managing a group or team of individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff
Knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Teams, Power Point)
Ability to effectively communicate in both group and individual settings
Capable of handling multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency
Ability to travel 0-25% of the time
Working Environment: Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally well ventilated and well lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.

Oversee all financial aspects of grants and contracts. Minimum Qualifications

Certification/Licensure: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Financial Manager (CFM) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

ROLE of the POSITION
Reporting to the Associate Director of Facilities & Operations, the Event OperationsManager oversees all internal event-related operations for events held within Student Union & Event Services (SUES) managed and operated facilities as contracted between SUES and clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Managingoperations and staffing budgets including projecting operational needs, approving purchases, monitoring spending, & making recommendations to the Associate Director for capital projects/expenditures and equipment replacement schedules Responsible for all AV and equipment set-ups within the student union (30+ spaces), outdoor venues (10+ locations), and various locations around campus (ex: TAC, FND) as contracted for 1000+ events annually Developing, proposing, and implementing policies and procedures for the event operations area Ensuring the event operations area is in compliance with departmental and university policies as well as fire/life/occupational safety, security and risk management requirements Responsible for the overall setup, operation, and strike of event equipment such as AV, tables, chairs, dance floors, trashcans, and other SUES' equipment as well as outside vendor's rental equipment. Evening & weekend work is required, along with the ability to provide 24/7 emergency on-call response as necessary (on call response within 30 minutes).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a minimum three (3) years combination of full time and/or academic year graduate assistant experience working in event operations, audio/visual, event production and/or event planning AND three (3) years direct supervision experience of student and/or full-time staff required. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

ROLE of the POSITION
Reporting to the Associate Director of Facilities & Operations, the Event OperationsManager oversees all internal event-related operations for events held within Student Union & Event Services (SUES) managed and operated facilities as contracted between SUES and clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Managingoperations and staffing budgets including projecting operational needs, approving purchases, monitoring spending, & making recommendations to the Associate Director for capital projects/expenditures and equipment replacement schedules Responsible for all AV and equipment set-ups within the student union (30+ spaces), outdoor venues (10+ locations), and various locations around campus (ex: TAC, FND) as contracted for 1000+ events annually Developing, proposing, and implementing policies and procedures for the event operations area Ensuring the event operations area is in compliance with departmental and university policies as well as fire/life/occupational safety, security and risk management requirements Responsible for the overall setup, operation, and strike of event equipment such as AV, tables, chairs, dance floors, trashcans, and other SUES' equipment as well as outside vendor's rental equipment. Serve as lead facilitator for pre-production and weekly scheduling meetings for SUES team and campus partners (ex: Dining Services) (20+ staff) to review upcoming events for accuracy, edits, communication and implementation Conduct daily venue walkthroughs to ensure equipment is set-up and/or stored properly and organized. Monitor daily event and client needs and provide on-site event assistance, particularly for large-scale campus evens (ex: Homecoming, Festival of Communities) Coordinating an effective maintenance work order system and managing improvement projects, maintaining accurate equipment inventory and administering replacement programs as budget permits for Event OperationsManage and identify areas for growth within the SUES' equipment loan and check-out programs for UNLV clients (RSOs, departments, faculty/staff) Responsible for managing SUES' equipment rental needs for both internal and external clients, ensuring accuracy, coordinating delivery and pick-up, and processing invoices against PO's.

Summary
This position will report directly to the Dean of the School of Environmental Sustainability and is responsible for the direct support of the Dean in day-to-day operations, as well as divisional support related to School administration, operations, and program support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Executive Assistant to the Dean (35%)
1. Oversee management of Dean's Office, including: calendar management; special projects; and SES faculty and staff meetings and retreats coordination.
2. Manage Dean's Procard reconciliation, including collecting receipts and submitting monthly reconciliations via the PNC Bank online portal.
3. Schedule flights, hotels, and general travel plans for Dean's professional travel schedule.
4. Other duties as assigned.
HR (15%)
1. Support the Associate Dean of Faculty and search committees in hiring and onboarding all new full-time faculty, including full search logistics (travel, scheduling, expense reimbursements, etc.). Onboarding support will include the coordination of HR paperwork, Loyola IDs, office assignments, office keys, technology access, and office supplies.
2. Support the Associate Dean of Faculty and search committees in onboarding all new part-time faculty, including the coordination of HR paperwork, Loyola IDs, office assignments, office keys, technology access, and office supplies.
3. Support the Associate Dean of Faculty in the logistics of New Faculty Orientation.
4. Create and manage a new onboarding process for staff, including the coordination of HR paperwork, Loyola IDs, office assignments, office keys, technology access, and office supplies.
5. Hire, train, and manage all student workers in the SES Dean's Office.
Academic Support (10%)
1. Support academic staff with semester course scheduling using LOCUS
2. Manage and oversee the semester syllabus collection for all SES courses.
General Office Management (30%)
Responsible for managing all administrative operations for the School, including:
1. Management/organization of School files
2. Provide support to faculty and staff for day-to-day operations, including ordering office supplies and class supplies as needed, managing mail and packages, assisting with space reservations, and addressing any issues with the facilities or ITS.
3. Maintain office equipment (printer/copier) and general supplies.
4. Manage SES reception phone.
5. Create room directory, contact list, door signage, and room assignments each semester for all faculty and staff.
6. Manage reservation requests for SES 116 and 117.
7. Manage keys and access for SES offices and spaces.
8. Support the Assistant Director of Business Operations in the processing of departmental invoices, expense reimbursements, and act as a secondary signature for SES accounts.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Events and tours (10%)
1. SES tour arrangements - manage requests, reserve rooms, arrange for tour guides, and send parking information.
2. Manage and/or provide support for SES events in collaboration with other staff
3. Support the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies with commencement and other student events
4. Process honorariums and invoices for any event costs, including speakers' and panelists' expenses.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Three to five years of relevant experience in an office setting with at least one year of supervisory experience.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, an expressed interest in environmental issues, and an interest in working in a higher education setting. Five years of related experience and a working knowledge of business and management principles involved in the coordination of people, projects, events, and resources are required. We are particularly seeking candidates with strong project management and organizational skills and an advanced level of understanding and use of technology, including the full Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Adobe Products.

POSITION PURPOSE:
Directs and provides leadership to the field operations staff that oversees the daily school transportation services provided by bus drivers operating yellow buses. Responsible for ensuring all districts offices are operating in a manner to provide on-time service to all riders and schools. Plans, organizes, and evaluates activities and program functions to ensure efficient and effective use of resources. Interprets and applies federal regulations related to the safe transportation of students. Provides timely solutions to transportation issues. Ensures work and operations are in compliance with Wake County Public School System's (WCPSS) standards, procedures, and processes. Maintains expected performance standards of assigned staff and operations. Collaborates with school system staff and parents to provide superior transportation services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
Extensive knowledge of law, policies, and procedures related to public school transportation;
Extensive knowledge of transportation operations;
Comprehensive knowledge of school bus routing systems;
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps;
Excellent organizational skills;
Effective leadership skills, able to supervise large groups of staff;
Ability to negotiate contracts effectively;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts and feedback;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, system staff and staff members of external agencies, and the community.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;
Ten years of experience in transportation or closely related field, or combination of education and experience;
Demonstrated successful experience in a progressively responsible supervisory role;

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of NC requirements;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of North Carolina Department of Instruction (NCDPI) regulations pertaining to school transportation;
Supervisory experience in school transportation operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and provides leadership to the field operations staff that oversee the daily transportation service provided by bus drivers operating school buses.
Plans, organizes, and evaluates activities and program functions to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
Ensures contract compliance with Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Board Policy.
Serves as liaison between the Transportation Department and school system staff.
Plans and implements changes to school bus operations resulting from changes to federal, state, and local laws and school system policies.
Coordinates the timely and accurate preparation of transportation management reports as needed.
Ensures policies and procedures are updated and in accordance with local, State, and Federal regulations, WCPSS Board Policy, and WCPSS Strategic Plan.
Provides accurate and effective budget allocations by overseeing the work with the Senior Director and Business Manager on budget development and tracking.
Coordinates recruitment and training with Safety Recruiter.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional visits to various school sites within Wake County. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, external agencies, vendors, and contractors. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work requires driving automotive equipment.
