About Us: Wesley Village Retirement Community is a full-service senior living facility offering 36 estates, 69 apartments, and 54 nursing home beds, serving over 250 residents daily. We are currently seeking a skilled and friendly General Facilities Maintenance Tech to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a basic understanding of building systems, carpentry, drywall, painting, and a passion for working with the elderly.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will work hand in hand with the other technicians performing routine and emergency maintenance to ensure the continued operation of facilities, equipment, and machinery. As well as renovating and making ready rooms/apartments. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, systems, and machinery.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system issues and repair as necessary.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and ensure minimum downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Assist with facility upgrades, installations, and renovations as required.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with team members and report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Basic knowledge of painting, drywall, carpentry and flooring installation.
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Flexible availability, including occasional weekends or on-call support.

Focus of the role is highly administrative. Responsibilities:
Communicating with clients on current and pending status of jobs.
Maintaining project data in company's database.
Coordinating with Project Managers on project start dates and status of permits for jobs.
Overseeing the construction permit process for commercial install jobs across the country.
Arranging for payment for permits in a timely manner.
Tracking open permits and report progress to Project Managers.
Coordinating the final inspections of jobs as required.
Requesting surety bonds for permits and business licenses
Arranging for construction testing and engineering services if necessary.
Creates and updates the project schedules from mid-stage development through engineering, procurement, and construction phases of projects
Administers the RFP process for long lead procurement and services
Reviews and collaboratively edits project contractual documents and exhibits
Provides project information for project stake holders and manages the document control process for assigned projects
Leads constructability reviews and other project engineering and construction meetings with in-house staff
QUALIFICATIONS We will teach you what it takes to be successful in this role but hoping you can bring:
1+ year of project coordination/administrative experience in an office setting
Can juggle multiple projects simultaneously; able to multitask while handling urgent requests efficiently, quickly, and calmly
Experience with the construction industry is a plus
Experience in an administrative role
Demonstrate the ability to lead and collaborate with others
Able to read, write, understand, and speak English proficiently
Proficient and comfortable with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Certification Management
Maintain accurate records and streamline certification trackers (Excel and MS Tracker).
Consolidate folders and create a standardized system for all crews and subcontractors.
Ensure every crew and individual has a complete and up-to-date certification on file.
Validation & Compliance
Validate incoming certifications (new hires, renewals, subcontractors) via QR codes or provider checks.
Upload validated certifications into trackers and client portals.
Communicate with safety teams and project managers to confirm compliance.
Process Improvement / Safety
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to certification and safety processes.
Monitor Job Site Analysis (JSA) forms daily for completeness and compliance.
Schedule required training courses for new hires.
Support safety initiatives and safety projects as they arise and ensure adherence to company policies.
Administrative Support
Handle high-volume, time-sensitive tasks with patience and accuracy.
Communicate effectively with leadership and project teams; proactively seek clarification when needed.
Qualifications:
Advanced Excel skills are required (formulas, VLOOKUPS and/or pivot tables)
Experience supporting and/or implementing safety initiatives is preferred.
Prior experience creating SOPs and working with certifications is a plus.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive tasks.
Ability to work independently and manage frequent interruptions while staying on task.
Familiarity with construction safety certifications (OSHA) - training will be provided if needed.
