As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for welding pipes and related components according to blueprints, specifications, and industry standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques, your ability to work with different pipe materials, and your commitment to safety and quality are crucial for the success of our project. Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications to determine welding requirements. Select appropriate welding procedures, techniques, and filler metals based on project specifications and pipe materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel). Prepare pipe surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and beveling edges. Perform various welding processes, including SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW, in accordance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API). Lay out, fit, and tack weld pipes and components prior to final welding. Perform visual inspections and may conduct other non-destructive testing (NDT) as required to ensure weld quality. Maintain weld quality and integrity, ensuring welds meet or exceed project specifications. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe welding practices. Inspect and maintain welding equipment and tools. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Pipe Welder (5+ years preferred). TIG WELDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications. Knowledge of various pipe materials and their welding characteristics. Familiarity with relevant welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME Section IX, API 1104). Strong understanding of welding safety practices and procedures. Ability to use and maintain welding equipment and tools. Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
