Key responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining a variety of safety and environmental programs, policies and procedures that will ensure all associates are in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards. Developing and implementing a program to reduce occupational injuries and illnesses, including area assessments, injury investigations and clear, measurable goals. Correcting working conditions, using knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, and safety standards, develops loss control programs, and devises methods to evaluate safety progresses. Assessing share, and leverage HSE best practices across sites. Establishing, implementing, and maintaining all Environmental and Safety Management systems in accordance with ISO 14001/ISO 18001, reporting to top management on performance, and recommend improvements. GENERAL SUMMARY: This position is part of the Wash Department. Team member is responsible for facilitating the parts flow through the wash and vibratory operations. Prepares shipments for delivery to customer. Team member works independently on regularly scheduled tasks with periodic interaction with manager and supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior forklift experience preferred but not required. Duties include but are not limited to: Operate, facilitate and maintain the parts flow through the wash system and vibratory machines, bulk pack parts, assist machine operators with tagging parts, responsible for storage and storage area of parts, complete required paperwork, monitor in-house inventory levels of wash, participate in physical inventories, package parts for shipment, load and unload trucks, and maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment, and other assignments as needed. WORKING CONDITIONS: Employee will be exposed to the noise, fumes and temperature extremes typically found in a light manufacturing environment. Risk of injury from being in close proximity of operating machinery is possible, but unlikely if proper safety precautions are followed. Lifting requirements for this position dictate that the employee must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 40# on a repetitive basis and a maximum of 80# on an occasional basis.
