SALARY: Pursuant to WV Code §18A-4-2, in accordance with Mineral County Teacher Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education level. EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated by the immediate supervisor and in accordance with WV State Code §18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5310 and Mineral County Board of Education Evaluation Policy. JOB SUMMARY: Provide appropriate instruction to students and insure that the students meet the learning objectives and standards for the appropriate grade level. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conducts student-specific evaluations, assessments, consultations; * Consults with students, families, school staff members, and other service providers to develop recommendations for treatment programs and techniques, to interpret evaluation results, and/or to coordinate the provision of treatment; * Develops, plans, leads, and/or participates in educational training and outreach activities to include program development and presentation of lectures and/or workshops; * Works with a multidisciplinary team; * Assists in the development and implementation of special programs; * Gathers, stores, and monitors dates related to student progress for use in assessing progress toward individualized education program goals and objectives; * Communicates effectively with students, parents, educational personnel, and others; * Follows confidentiality procedures regarding students, parents/guardians, and staff members; * Demonstrates behavior which reflects established professional responsibilities; * Maintains records and submits monthly reports for Medicaid eligible services; * Performs other related tasks as assigned by principal for Director of Special Education * Adheres to Employee Code of Conduct as outlined in Mineral County School's Policy 3210; and * Performs other duties deemed appropriate and assigned by the Superintendent and/or immediate supervisor(s). QUALIFICATIONS: * Valid West Virginia licensure to practice Physical Therapy; Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate; To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
