Summary Job Description: The Overnight Residential Counselor provides supportive services directly to participants of WestBridge's residential program. The program provides treatment to individuals who experience severe mental illness and substance use disorders in order to maximize their recovery. Counselors work to ensure consumer-directed goal setting, assist the individual served to gain hope and sense of empowerment and provide assistance in helping the individuals served become respected and valued members of their family and community. As a member of the Residential Team, the Overnight Residential Counselor is expected to be able to effectively represent and communicate the WestBridge culture of being authentic, team-oriented, and participant-centered. Primary Duties: * This position requires that the Overnight Residential Counselor be awake throughout the night. * Customer Service Skills: General friendliness, a solution-focus attitude, being responsive and flexible. * Complete housekeeping duties. * Ensure confidentiality of medical records, clinical information and participants is in compliance with federal confidentiality laws. * Monitor adult males in a residential treatment setting * Ensure participants remain in bedroom and quiet throughout the night hours * Provide support to residents in maintaining proper health routines such as nutrition, sleep, and medication regimens. * Provide ongoing assessment of mental status and consults with WestBridge staff. * File medical and clinical documentation in participant charts? These programs provide treatment to individuals who experience severe and persistent mental illness with or without co-occurring substance use disorders in order to maximize their recovery. Staff work to ensure consumer-directed goal setting, assist the individual served to gain hope and a sense of empowerment, and provide assistance in helping the individuals served become respected and valued members of their family and community. Per Diem/Standby Support Staff are required to work a minimum of 4 shifts/month, which may be a combination of shifts worked and standby shifts based upon the needs of the programs. Standby shifts are scheduled starting on Friday evenings (10pm) through Sunday evenings (10:30pm), and the shifts include day (from 7:30am-10:30pm) and overnight (10pm-8am). Additionally, there are six recognized holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) that will also be staffed with standby. Per Diem/Standby Support staff are asked to commit to at least one holiday/year.
