The Engineer, Network is responsible for the implementation and support of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN and SDWAN to support critical healthcare operations across The Guthrie Clinic (TGC). This role ensures high availability and performance for clinical systems, patient care services, and administrative functions across the hospital network. The Engineer collaborates with IT teams, vendors, and hospital stakeholders to align network solutions with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. This position will be a technology advocate throughout the organization for the effective application of technology to meet business needs and to support business changes and growth. Technology functions include network infrastructure, architecture and protocols (routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, network appliances), network automation and operations, patch management, application delivery, monitoring and cloud computing.
Experience:
1. Preferred three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in implementing and managing complex network infrastructure in an enterprise environment; healthcare experience preferred.
2. Highly experienced information systems professional with a strong technical background and proven track record of accomplishments in a large, complex multi-level organization.
3. Experience in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and technologies (e.g., Cisco, Extreme, Palo Alto).
4. Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC).
5. Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) and cloud-based network solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
6. Knowledge of Azure networking services (e.g., MS Azure VNET, ExpressRoute, vWAN, etc.)
7. Proficient with monitoring and logging tools for access management and troubleshooting using such tools as Syslog, ACS, Netflow, Solarwinds and protocol analyzers.
8. Knowledge of network security and encryption standards.
9. Intermediate troubleshooting skills.
10. Ability to work with network security devices such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA.
11. Experience with ITSM functionalities such as change control, CMDB and ticketing systems.
12. Strong knowledge of healthcare information systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), cybersecurity and clinical operations.
13. Prior experience delivering high availability systems in a 24/7 environment across geographically dispersed business units.
14. Demonstrated ability to facilitate evaluation of technologies and achieve consensus on technical standards and solutions among a diverse group of information technology professionals.
15. Demonstrated commitment to customer service who has provided responsive and effective support, developed solid working relationships with customers, and delivered high quality, value-added services that met/exceeded customer expectations.

- Responsible for installation and maintenance of network devices.
- Monitors functions of network devices to ensure acceptable performance.
- Creates and maintains documentation related to network configuration and network topologies.
- Serves as subject matter expert across network technologies and solutions supporting LAN, WAN, WLAN and SDWAN.
- Troubleshoots and resolves LAN, WAN, WLAN and SDWAN incidents.
- Provide level 2 escalation support and troubleshooting to resolve complex network incidents and tasks.
- Anticipates and provides solutions for complex problems and issues, recommends upgrades and enhancements. Rapidly absorbs complex technical and conceptual information to identify issues and implications. Able to present understandable alternatives to both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Monitors industry trends, maintains knowledge of developments in network infrastructure, architecture and protocols, network automation and operations, patch management, application delivery, monitoring and cloud computing.
- Maintain current working knowledge of IT best practices and innovative solutions within both healthcare and industry. Identifies leading edge technologies for potential early adoption that will result in service differentiation and create competitive advantage. Collaborates with other TGC IT departments, TGC management and business leaders assisting in the evaluation and validation of emerging technologies. Identifies strategies to mitigate risk associated with leading edge technologies.
- Promotes the use of TGC's PMO methodology and standards to manage IT initiatives.

Job Summary:
The Regional Pharmacy Operations Compliance Technician provides ongoing operational, procedural and sterile compounding support (education, training, competencies and best practices in the Vital Care Way) to the Franchise pharmacies. This role is responsible for completing ongoing, onsite surveillance and monitoring of Franchise pharmacies within the company, including pharmacy operations, nursing (if applicable), administrative/clerical, and sales in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures. The Regional Pharmacy Operations Compliance Technicians collect and report on the Franchise pharmacy through a Franchise checklist, Accreditation readiness tools, Quality Site Assessment, and other Franchisor metric tools and report to the Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations for further follow-up. Maintains communications with Vital Care Infusion corporate offices on infusion and specialty business. The Regional Pharmacy Operations Compliance Technicians provide feedback on policy, process, and techniques to franchise pharmacies to reinforce compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as Vital Care policies and procedures. The Regional Pharmacy Operations Compliance Technicians reviews and recommends improvements in the activities of all franchise pharmacy personnel, as well as quality control, creation, completion and updating of performance improvement procedures, monitoring, tracking, and trending of outcomes, and education of support staff under the supervision of the Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operational and Performance Improvement Related:
Performance of pharmacy operations assessment activities assessing compliance with regulatory, accreditation and ethical standards and assuring activities are in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Review of pharmacy Performance Improvement and outcomes reporting and collection and monitoring, tracking and trending of results for continuous performance improvement.
Demonstrates sound operational knowledge, leadership, and stewardship attributing to the provision of support to the Franchise pharmacies driving key objectives and results.
Uses available resources to gather information on the appropriateness of activities related to medication dispensing, compounding of sterile preparations, equipment use, and patient management/monitoring in the home and alternate site of care.
Demonstrates understanding of USP 797/800 standards, accreditation standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
Observes, monitors, and assesses compliance with accreditation standards and performs Quality Site Assessments at franchise locations.
Acts as a resource to support franchise owners and staff, driving high-quality patient care and efficient operations at franchise locations.
Stays knowledgeable of current industry practices and incorporates them into the support provided throughout the organization.
Assists with employee orientation and preceptor responsibilities as needed.
Completes assignments as directed in a timely manner.
Reporting to the Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations, maintains effective communication, receives direction, and remains organized in completing reports, checklists and tools to ensure accurate details are clear to those intended.

Inspects and reports back on the physical maintenance and organization of the facility.
Operates effectively as a liaison between the Franchise ownership and the Vital Care corporate team.
Evaluates and collects information on key performance indicators and provides guidance and recommendations to the corporate teams and franchise pharmacies to support effective and efficient operations.
Collects data through onsite and remote observations and assessments and incorporates the collected data and KPIs into the defined data collection tools timely and accurately as outlined by the Vital Care Infusion Services leadership.
Recommends and monitors the monthly activities and identifies opportunities for improvement while partnering with the franchise pharmacy team members in developing and executing functional and lasting plans of corrective actions.
Orients and competencies employees who staff franchise pharmacy departments.
Operates as a resource for individual departments and Franchise employees in resolving questions, challenges, and activities to drive compliance and reduce risks to patients, team members, and the organization.
Upholds local, state, and federal regulations on the provision of health care by professionals.
Acts to implement and uphold company policies, procedures, and protocols in providing services to consumers.
Is responsible for the performance improvement process, develops plans, assesses, improves, and maintains the quality of the company's management, operational, and other important internal processes and activities; assigns staff to performance improvement activities.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

Job Requirements
Assist Physicians side by side during Endoscopy procedures with focus on advanced Endoscopy Procedures (G.I. & Pulmonary services)
Welcome and prepare patients for their procedures by confirming patient identification & positioning for procedure
Prepare equipment for procedures and is responsible for turnover of the procedure room(s)
Assist in clean up, replenishes supplies and confirms all equipment is functioning optimally
Collect specimens obtained during procedure, accurately labeled, and brought to the lab
Maintain endoscopy equipment and notifies Clinical Engineering of malfunctioning equipment
Obtain CPR-BLS certification by the time of appointment
Have prior experience as a technician in the medical field, ideally in Endoscopy or other medical/surgical subspeciality
Endoscopy Technician certification required by time of appointment or within 2 years of start date
The most highly qualified candidates may have some or all the following:
Endoscopy Technician certification
CPR-ACLS certification
Familiarity with digestive tract and respiratory disease processes
Experience with advanced endoscopy procedures
Associates degree in healthcare-related field
