Job Title: First Line Risk and Control Testing Senior Analyst What you'll do: As a First Line Risk & Control Senior Analyst you'll work as a first line of defense risk professional responsible for support and/or execution of various risk programs and business unit risk activities in adherence with the Company's risk appetite and corporate strategy. In this role you'll engage with business units in the management of risks and controls across all risk types, monitoring execution of risk policies, procedures, and program requirements. You'll effectively manage risks, and serve as an effective communication channel between the Risk Management department and business units.
* Support the timely preparation and execution of the Risk and Control updates and refresh information through the collection of data from various sources as defined in desktop procedures. Facilitate meetings to review process understanding and process map documentation.
* Provide effective and timely execution of projects with a sense of urgency for deliverables. Review policies and procedures to document process maps and narratives.
* Support identification of risks and controls in processes under review including the drafting of risks and controls in line with standards. Provide assessment of control environment and determine effective risk mitigation or identify gaps.
* Support conversations with risk subject matter experts about the context and/or severity of risk factors and/or issues including areas such as third parties, issues, regulatory, legal matters, etc.
What you'll need:
* 4+ years of related experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit or similar field.
* Bachelor's degree in related field required.
* Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
* Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
* Intermediate experience in Compliance, Operations Management, Audit, Risk Management, or related field in financial services.
* Intermediate knowledge of and experience in documenting process maps in process mapping software.
* Experience identifying risks and controls in processes.
* Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

The Senior Investment Accountant ensures that investment accounting policies and procedures are correctly applied to financial transactions. Under minimal supervision, this job works directly with asset management, portfolio management and acquisition/disposition teams. This job leads a team to prepare month end closing reports and subsidiary quarterly financial analytics, and reports to senior management ensuring accurate asset evaluations.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**
+ Prepares timely and accurate GAAP work papers and supporting schedules to satisfy all investment accounting requirements for internal and external audits.
+ Reviews financial information for joint ventures to ensure compliance with investment accounting policies and procedures (sales, acquisitions, debt refinancing, REIT restructuring, and financial performance).
+ Incorporates frequent ad hoc financial inquiries into the monthly and quarterly reports, adding value by providing management insight into the activities of the underlying properties.
+ Calculates unlevered and levered, gross and net portfolio performance returns and property internal rates of return.
+ Converts modified cash basis accounting information provided by third party management firms to accrual basis to facilitate preparation of fair value GAAP basis financial statements.
+ Provides guidance to junior Investment Accountants regarding issues that require more advanced knowledge and experience.
