Beta Engineering has an internal opening for an Electrical Engineer Team Leader. Electrical Engineer Team Leaders (EETL) are supervisors of multiple Electrical Engineers and Electrical Engineering Technicians overseeing the design, interpretation, application and documentation of drawings, schematics, and diagrams. The EETL is tasked with ensuring that their team's designs, and applications, are completed to code and standards set forth by the appropriate authoritative bodies. In addition, EETLs are responsible for the training, recruiting, hiring, scheduling, assigning and discipline of EEs and EETs under their supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Oversee all engineering responsibilities and activities• Delegates engineering responsibilities and activities within their team• Leads the design and checking processes• Manages the day-to-day activities of schedule and design• Directly trains and directs EEs and EETs under their charge• Maintains design standards and training guidelines• Coordinates and problem solves issues between design teams and departments• Answers technical questions posed by construction managers, field staff, project managers, customers and their representatives.• Recognizes and recommends methods to improve every customer's experience. • Travels periodically to both customer offices for project meetings and to job sites for construction visits.• Performs bi-yearly evaluations on all employees reporting to them ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:• The Electrical Engineer Team Leader will have multiple employees reporting to this position.• Works with the Manager of Electrical Engineering to coordinate the scheduling of employee PTO• Works with the Manager of Electrical Engineering to recruit, hire and train new engineers• Provides input on organizational structure, employee performance, continuing education, employee development and disciplinary actions• Enforces discipline policies with team members• Assures team members and themselves adhere to and practice the Beta core competencies and Beta principle• As assigned by the Electrical Engineer Manager EXPECTATIONS:• Performs quality work within deadlines without direct supervision. • Interacts professionally with other employees and customers.• Works effectively as a leader on all assigned projects.• Demonstrates integrity and ethics in all client relationships and communications.• Communicates regularly with supervisor and teams regarding designs, concerns, studies or tests• Desires to participate in continued education and training• Overnight travel to active job sites. Enforces contract requirements and performs construction administration on assigned projects * Work with consultants to necessary easements for all assigned projects. Negotiates and prepares property easements and oversees the preparation of property descriptions, survey and legal recording as required. * Responsible for managing project financials i.e. work orders, purchase orders, invoicing etc. * Collaborate with various departments state wide: operations, engineering, accounting, customer service * Responsible for Due Diligence for possible new acquisitions. * Assists with other tasks or projects as assigned.
