Reviews paperwork at the end of shift to ensure that all work accomplished is signed for prior to departing the maintenance facility. Assists with completion of shift turnover reports in accordance with procedures in the RSQCM. · Completes all department internal company forms, maintenance records, documents, work orders, etc. including performing maintenance computer system transactions as required · Provides coaching and on-the-job training as directed. · Adheres to established work schedule. The Industrial Electro-mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment and facilities. Primary Responsibility: Perform routine and complex Forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the warehouse. Provide maintenance support as necessary to ensure operational objectives are met. Perform troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment and other powered industrial equipment as assigned. Provide outside service provider oversight and monitoring. Perform troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment and other powered industrial equipment as assigned. Provide outside service provider oversight and monitoring. What You'll Do: Performs in depth troubleshooting and preventative maintenance/repair of Forklift and MHE electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Rebuilds and/or replaces major components (i.e mast, undercarriage, transmissions, engines/motors, etc.). Inspects forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and operational standards. Maintains batteries and chargers in working order in accordance with OSHA Standards. Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and any other testing instruments. Conducts tests of safety equipment to ensure OHSA and operational standards. Maintains accurate preventive maintenance records within the CMMS system. Keeps work area and tools 6S'd (well maintained, clean, organized, etc.), and performs housekeeping duties as required. Shares knowledge, train and develop less experienced technicians. Work flexible shifts, if required, including on call. Performs related work and other job assignments as required. What Experience and Education You Need: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 2+ years of Forklift Maintenance Experience OR 4+ years of other mechanic experience in lieu of specialized Forklift experience (i.e. auto, diesel, truck/trailer mechanic experience) Required to successfully complete assigned technical training and/or mechanical-electrical courses. Required training in HAZMAT; obtain and maintain certification.
