Service Truck Technician
Our Service Truck Technicians travel within a 60-mile general radius to repair Tractors/Trailers that need roadside assistance and make repairs to Tractors/Trailers that are located at customers shipping yards or parking lots.RESPONSIBILITIESRepair trucks and trailers to include tire repair and/or tire replacement. Replace fuel filters, jump start trucks or refrigerated trailers. Replace batteries, alternators, trailer door seals, trailer dolley legs, trailer doors and hardware, wheel seals, air brake systems repairs, coolant leaks, patch holes in trailer roof, side panels, and floor. Repair electrical and lighting problems, repair suspension and air ride systems, weld and repair mud flap brackets, ICC bumpers, and other components that may need welding. Any other mechanic repairs that can be done outside of the shop building.Communicate with Shop Manager, Road Breakdown by using cell phone or 2-way radio.Fill out work orders and document parts used and labor times for repairs completed.Drive service truck from shop to service site and return to the shop. Keep service truck fueled and complete proper maintenance to keep service truck operational. Keep service truck clean.Keep service truck parts inventoried and restock parts as needed. This includes taking along parts that maybe needed to compete repairs on site.

Starting Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000/yr
Job requirements may include, but are not limited to:
+ Prepare and set up route optimization software to build accurate, detailed and competitive solutions.
+ Perform network overlay analysis to create continuous move opportunities within multiple shipper networks and C.R. England facilities throughout the country.
+ Test a variety of transportation solutions/scenarios; verify billing and contracts for all Dedicated accounts.
+ Perform continuous improvement tasks for existing Dedicated accounts to ensure efficiency is still at highest level.
+ Determine most efficient utilization of resources by creating driver and tractor utilization reporting mechanisms.
+ Build ad-hoc database applications to pull data from proprietary systems. Databases will be used for continuous improvement initiatives and business intelligence for both internal and external projects.
+ Design various solutions through proprietary pricing model, present options to senior management and sales team in efforts to secure new and extended contracts with customers.
+ Maintain integrity of pricing model with updates from various departments such as Operations, Finance and Sales as well as any external sources that may be needed.
+ Work closely with Sales staff in efforts to continue to build growth in the company by securing more contracts.
+ Provide periodic reporting to senior management regarding financial efficiency of existing contracts with customers to help determine if contract is fiscally responsible for company to maintain.
+ Proficient understanding of financial health Dedicated fleets and contracts.
+ Handle multiple projects with varying long and short deadlines.
+ Able to handle multiple tasks and work effectively independently or in a team environment.
+ Keep company leadership informed of project priorities.

Job qualifications may include, but are not limited to:
+ Bachelor's degree required with experience in one or more key functional areas such as transportation management, Dedicated fleet operations, or decision support systems and technology.
+ Min. of 2 years' logistics experience required, prefer 3 or more years.
+ Experience working with outside sales teams helpful.
+ Ability to work with office equipment, utilizing computers for majority of tasks and must be familiar with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
+ Demonstrated data manipulation skills in Excel, Access, SQL, Tableau, etc.
+ Basic knowledge of logistics technology (Appian, i2, CAPs, Manugistics, etc.). Appian Direct knowledge preferred.
+ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to prepare and present written and oral presentations to groups.
+ Must be detail orientated with ability to see how details impact large operational KPIs.
