IN 2018, WESTERN RESERVE HEALTH EDUCATION (WRHE) EDUCATED 115 NEWLY GRADUATED PHYSICIANS IN OUR GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM IN FIVE MEDICAL SPECIALTIES. OF THOSE 115 PHYSICIANS, 21 GRADUATED AND BECAME BOARD CERTIFIED IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SPECIALTY. TEN PERCENT (10%) OF OUR GRADUATES ARE NOW PRACTICING MEDICINE IN THE GREATER COMMUNITY IN WHICH WE SERVE, MEETING THEIR MEDICAL NEEDS. THIRTY-EIGHT PERCENT (38%) OF OUR GRADUATES CONTINUED THEIR EDUCATION IN HIGHLY COMPETITIVE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS IN ORDER TO SUB-SPECIALIZE WITHIN THEIR SPECIALTY. IN 2018, OUR RESIDENT PHYSICIANS CONDUCTED MULTIPLE RESEARCH STUDIES OF WHICH 26 OF THOSE RESEARCH STUDIES WERE ACCEPTED FOR PRESENTATION AT INTERNATIONAL, NATIONAL AND/OR REGIONAL VENUES. DURING THE 2018 YEAR, WRHE ALSO EDUCATED 260 MEDICAL STUDENTS FROM OUR AFFILIATED MEDICAL SCHOOLS. ALSO IN 2018, WRHE CONDUCTED 126 CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) EVENTS FOR PRACTICING PHYSICIANS IN OUR COMMUNITY. ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-SIX (1,756) PHYSICIANS ATTENDED THE 126 CME EDUCATION EVENTS.
