In this role, you will be responsible to plan, design, implement and maintenance for deployment of enterprise-wide cloud-based and on-prem payment platform. You will have a working knowledge of cloud and other architecture disciplines including application, database, and infrastructure. In this role you will work with engineering, cloud-ops and enterprise architecture team to define and build out complex solutions driving value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities and innovations. In addition, support a research and development function within your team to explore new and innovative technology solutions, provide engineering studies and make recommendation to enhance Cloud platform.

For this role, you will have a Bachelor's in Engineering or a Bachelor's in technology and a Master's in Computer Application, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields with 6+ years of industry experience including 4+ years of DevOps experience on public cloud such as AWS or Google. You will have experience with Infrastructure design concepts, capacity planning and strong cloud knowhow and the ability to communicate and evangelize those concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners. You will have strong experience in designing and managing the release pipeline in cloud and on-prem and experience with hybrid enterprise platform. You will have strong experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Fargate, Docker, Kubernetes and drive continuous process improvements. You will have an excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, API, GIT flows, microservices architecture as well as hands-on experience in JAVA/J2EE technologies, XML, Web Services, authentication, and certificate management. We'll be looking to you to be a key member of a strategic intelligence team (the Office of Strategic Intelligence, or OSI) within Western Union's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). The OSI is the primary source for AML/TF typology-focused subject matter expertise provided to other Compliance and corporate risk programs. OSI analysis contributes directly to FIU-initiated transaction controls and other non-standard risk mitigation measures designed to protect the company. OSI analysts work closely with law enforcement and other government partners to exchange threat intelligence and identify emerging risk issues. You will directly interrogate Western Union data using typology-specific intelligence from open/public, commercial, law enforcement, and other sources. You will be expected to create detailed narrative investigative reports, presentations, and, where needed, link charts or similar diagrams to document and communicate your judgments, findings, and related actions. You will regularly engage with and brief Compliance senior leadership (Director and above) as well as critical law enforcement, regulatory, and other government partners on high threat / high exposure issues. You will also be called upon to handle a wide variety of ad-hoc analytic and research requests from FIU and Compliance senior leadership to support executive-level decision-making and initiatives.

For such a pivotal role, we require you to have a bachelor's degree and/or 2-5 years of experience in a related field. Related experience can include strategic analysis for the U.S. Intelligence Community, Law Enforcement, or think tank establishments; strategic anti-money laundering or risk work with a financial institution; and/or graduate school training in the practice, methods, and tools of intelligence analysis tradecraft. You will have constructed judgments about issues for which there is incomplete or imperfect evidence, requiring you to establish and justify associated confidence levels. You should be comfortable working with extremely large, complex data sets, basic SQL concepts, and "big data" software such as Tableau and Alteryx. You must also possess advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access). You must have a demonstrated track record of excellent written and oral communication skills, including the presentation of your work to senior decision-makers.
