About the Position
The Grant and Contract Coordinator works under general direction to negotiate with funding agencies to establish terms and conditions of grant and contract awards, conduct preliminary institution-wide review of proposals, and provide technical advise regarding alternative formats, sources of funding, and agency policies to faculty investigators and administrators involved in proposal preparation. This position is within RSP's pre-award group and reports to the RSP Director. It works closely with post-award and compliance staff, other campus units including Contracts, Student Employment, and the Graduate School, as well as faculty and students. The position requires the ability to learn quickly and keep up to date on changing regulations and processes, manage complex, changing priorities and workflows, and work collaboratively with colleagues, students and staff from a range of disciplines and backgrounds.
The Grant and Contract Specialist is primarily responsible for working collaboratively in teams to develop projects and proposals that support the mission and goals of Western Washington University including: identifying funding opportunities; developing and submitting public and private grant proposals; developing and maintaining accurate records; assisting the RSP team with the development and implementation of internal operating procedures, policies, guidelines, and system improvements; supporting the intramural grant program; and assisting in the development and provision of training for prospective and current PIs.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience
* Two years of experience in grants administration
* Demonstrated commitment to work effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and external partners
* Documented success in developing federal grant proposals as part of a team
* Experience in project or program development and budgeting

ABOUT THE CENTER FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND LEARNING
The new Center for Behavioral Health and Learning at UW Medical Center - Northwest campus opened in 2024. It offers an unparalleled opportunity to transform mental health care and to improve mental health care training in our state. Located in North Seattle, the new facility features 75 long-term civil commitment adult psychiatry beds, 25 geriatric psychiatry beds, 50 medical/surgical beds focused on patients with psychiatric comorbidities, and a state-of-the-art neuromodulation program. It also houses an interdisciplinary training and workforce development program focused on preparing and supporting the next generation of behavioral health providers for Washington State. The six-story building is a beautiful place to work with lots of windows, natural lighting and open-concept spaces and offers amenities including a new kitchen and dining area for patients, staff and visitors.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate patients who are detained for involuntary behavioral health treatment at UW Medical Center and are scheduled for King County ITA Court
Complete clinical and legal petitions/documentation in the required timelines
Represent UW Medical Center at King County ITA Court, including testifying as an expert witness in ITA court hearings and also serving as proxy witness
Act as a resource for questions regarding the ITA process and involuntary behavioral health treatment
Coordinate with the assigned prosecuting attorney and other involved court parties to support the patient's treatment plan and to support successful testimony in ITA court
Attend treatment team, utilization review, quality improvement and other meetings as requested/required. Attend scheduled ITA stakeholder meetings
When video court and/or telehealth is not available or appropriate, travel between the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning and UW Medical Center - Montlake
REQUIREMENTS
Advanced Degree as required by specialty
Licensed as a psychologist, advanced registered nurse practitioner, mental health counselor or independent clinical social worker in the State of Washington
2-5 years of recent experience working with acutely ill psychiatric patients specifically involving evaluation of psychiatric safety, level of function, psychiatric diagnoses, and medications
Two years of recent experience working in a hospital setting is preferred
Expertise with the Washington Involuntary Treatment Act (RCW 71.05)
Compliance with your professional Code of Ethics is required
Maintains a valid Washington Driver's License and a clean driving record
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements

The Customer Requisition to Payment Manager is responsible for overseeing the Shared Environment Customer Requisition to Payment (CR2P) team, which handles Workday management of customer contracts, billing schedules, invoicing, and accounts receivables management. This person will also serve as departmental liaison between UW central finance offices and other stakeholders. It demands strong personal initiative, problem-solving abilities, as well as advanced interpersonal skills for effective communication with faculty, academic staff, employees, and the public.
This role is critical in ensuring School of Medicine (SoM) compliance with University of Washington, State, and funding agency policies and procedures across the full Customer Requisition to Payment (CR2P) lifecycle. The Customer Requisition to Payment Manager supports accurate revenue recognition and reporting, which improves operational efficiency and reduces financial and audit risk.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES**
**Management of Customer Requisition to Payment (CR2P) Program (60%)**
+ Oversee the SE supervisors and provide direct support in training and standardization of CR2P transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions across the School of Medicine.
+ Ensure all transactions comply with policies and regulations from the University of Washington, State, funding agencies, and the School of Medicine as well as ensure that relevant documentation is complete and accessible.
+ Review and standardize the training materials developed and maintained by the SE supervisors to ensure alignment of CR2P training and best practices.
+ Utilize reporting tools to monitor transactions to ensure they are fully processed and approved in a timely manner maintaining accountability and efficiency.
+ Perform analysis of transaction volumes and utilize the findings and trends to balance workload distribution across the team.
+ Drive process improvement initiatives in all CR2P tasks including billing schedules, invoicing, compliance review, customer service ticketing, accounts receivable, and more.
+ Report on data and trends to ensure relevant information is shared throughout the CR2P team.
+ Monitor and report on team-wide key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational effectiveness and highlight opportunities for training, support, or recognition. Share findings with SE supervisors and Director to inform staff development efforts and guide staffing recommendations.
+ Ensure all record retention practices adhere to UW policies and Washington State laws, optimizing both efficiency and audit readiness.
**Consultation and Stakeholder Engagement (25%)**
+ Serve as a liaison between SE supervisors, departmental stakeholders, dean's office business unit partners, central finance offices, and SE leadership to resolve escalated issues and ensure service quality in the CR2P program.
+ Act as a subject matter expert for CR2P systems, procedures, contacts, and policies.
+ Assist users with escalated requests that are highly technical and complex related to overdue balances, customer contracts, billing, and receivables.

About the Shannon Point Marine Center:
SPMC is Western Washington University's coastal research facility, located in Anacortes, Washington, approximately 45 miles from Western's main campus in Bellingham. The 78-acre site includes Pacific lowland forest and 3,000 feet of undisturbed shoreline along the Salish Sea. SPMC supports and advances WWU's undergraduate and graduate programs in marine science, facilitates research across a broad range of marine-related disciplines, and provides access to facilities for visiting scientists. About the Position The Shannon Point Marine Center (SPMC) invites applications for a university supported, year-round, half-time Research Assistant Professor position with expertise in biological oceanography. This non-tenure track research faculty position will be based at the Shannon Point Marine Center (SPMC) in Anacortes, Washington with the position title granted through the Marine and Coastal Science (MACS) program.
We seek a dynamic and collaborative researcher who will be an active member of the SPMC community. The successful candidate will be expected to:
* Develop and sustain a rigorous, externally funded research program in biological oceanography that leverages SPMC laboratory resources.
* Engage and mentor students through research involvement and training opportunities.
* Contribute to SPMC programs and the broader mission of the center through participation in research, outreach, and collaborative initiatives.

Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager, the Senior Graduate Education Specialist is independently responsible for developing and delivering training and professional development content for workshops and seminars designed to support the research trainee community, as well as provide resources and guidance to graduate program faculty leadership and advisors. This position partners with SoM and interdisciplinary graduate programs to provide resources and guidance in areas related to research education and training for both graduate students and research postdoctoral scholars, including professional development; curriculum and handbooks; recruitment and admissions; and scholarships and fellowships. This role partners closely with the other members of the Administrative Services Unit, particularly the Senior Outreach Specialist, on planning and executing education-related workshops and school-wide events such as the PhD hooding ceremony and the research mentor education program. Strong organizational and leadership skills are required to manage relationships, deadlines and competing priorities.
This position has the lead responsibility within RGE for partnering with the Associate Dean for Research Education and Training and other faculty leaders and administrative directors to provide biomedical research training resources appropriate for both graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. The Senior Graduate Education Specialist must exercise independent judgement and ownership of managing fellowship and scholarship allocations and notifications; supporting committees, councils, and recurring stakeholder meetings; and supporting student organizations. The scope of this position is UW wide, partnering and collaborating with Public Health, Engineering, other UW Health Sciences schools, UW Bothell Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Program, and with regional partner institutions (e.g., Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Allen Institute, Gonzaga University, Seattle Children's Research Institute, others).
UW is challenged in offering career development programming for over 1,300 research trainees at the graduate and postdoctoral levels. The SoM employs over 400 postdocs in research-intensive roles and enrolls approximately 900 graduate students in our biomedical PhD programs. This is a mission-driven staff position, and requires a skilled, knowledgeable, and motivated individual to plan, implement and adapt events and services based on results and feedback. Faculty leaders are committed to and supportive of these programs.
By improving the readiness of research trainees for careers in science RGE is increasing SoM's success in training and placing the next generation of research scientists in academia, teaching, and government, which in turn increases interest in our graduate programs and postdoctoral opportunities and attracts high-achieving faculty researchers. Additional expected impacts include improved communication among trainees and faculty mentors and between international trainees and their mentors, a more attractive workplace for high-performing trainees, better resources for department and program managers to complement their formal training programs, enhanced relationships between the SoM and private sector business partners, and improved collaborative capacity overall within and among research labs and departments.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Program Management (75%)**
+ Plan and implement workshop and seminar content for the SoM's research trainee community, encompassing programs such as the Bioscience Career Seminar Series, Inclusive Leadership Workshop, Future Faculty Fellows, Science Teaching Experience Program (STEP).
+ Coordinates closely with the team to support large school-wide events honoring research trainees such as the PhD Welcome Event, PhD Hooding Ceremony, and fellowship receptions.
+ Works closely with the Associate Dean for Research Education and Training and Director of Research and Graduate Education to implement strategies that enhance infrastructure, provide data and analysis, foster collaboration, streamline processes, and maximize opportunities for the achievements PhD graduate students and research postdoctoral scholars and fellows.
+ Works closely with the Senior Outreach Specialist and the Director of Research Mentor Education to plan and implement the Research Mentor Education program throughout the academic year.
+ Works closely with the Data and Analytics Unit on the development and presentation of new metrics and reporting resources to programs and department leaders related to the support and development of research trainees.
+ Works closely with the Director and Associate Director to strategize support and infrastructure to directors and administrators of SoM institutional training grants.

The SLHS Department consists of a diverse faculty and clinical/technical staff serving both undergraduate and graduate students. About the Position
As a member of an interdisciplinary team in Western Washington University's Speech and Hearing Clinics, provides professional audiology services to individuals with communicative disabilities such as hearing loss or impairments, auditory processing, and aural rehabilitation. Develops habilitation or rehabilitation programs for individuals and monitors/evaluates their progress. Under general supervision, educate, prepare, and supervise audiology graduate students in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders, and in the development of related interpersonal and professional/technical skills. Provide direct services to patients, demonstrating clinical skills for undergraduate and graduate CSD students.
The position helps fulfill the mission of the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences by providing the highest quality student-centered learning environment where undergraduate and graduate students develop the knowledge, clinical skills, and life-long learning skills to prepare them for professional careers and advanced study in speech-language pathology and audiology.
Required Qualifications
* A master's degree in audiology;
* a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA);
* License to practice audiology and dispense hearing aids from the state of Washington;
* And, two years of experience as an audiologist, including experience with both diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
Preferred Qualifications
* Clinical doctorate (AuD) degree in audiology;
* Experience supervising graduate students;
* Experience as a clinical educator at a university;
* Experience which includes assessment of pediatric and other difficult to test patients, auditory processing disorder (APD) assessment, and intervention/treatment of patients diagnosed with APD. And, experience with pediatric aural habilitation.

The Computer Science Department has 18 tenured or tenure-track faculty, 15 non-tenure track instructors, and serves approximately 500 majors or pre-majors. During any one quarter, upwards of 1000 students are taking one or more computer science classes. The department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. in computer science, an M.S. degree, B.S. degrees in Data Science and Cyber Security, as well as a CS Education B.A. degree. The department is currently seeking ABET accreditation for Data Science and Cyber Security. The department has a strong history of research collaboration with other disciplines across campus such as Anthropology, Linguistics, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Physics, among others, as well as collaborations with regional tech partners such as the Pacific Northwest National Laboratories (PNNL). Collaborations with the Washington Autonomous Vehicle Cluster (WAV-C), and with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), provide additional opportunities for faculty whose specialty is robotics. About the Position
Applications are invited for a Director of Cybersecurity Programs. The position has flexibility for a non-tenure track or tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, dependent on qualifications. Faculty hired as Associate Professor can have an expedited pathway to application for tenure. As a member of the Department of Computer Science, the position will have responsibility to oversee academic programs and activities in cybersecurity throughout the university, including on the Bellingham campus, as well as our Poulsbo and Kirkland satellite locations.
The Director maintains WWU's nationally recognized cybersecurity programs, including the department's membership in the Department of Defense Cyber Service Academy, and encourages the incorporation of cybersecurity topics and concepts into curriculum and activities across the university. The Director maintains ties with academic, government, and private sector partners to ensure the delivery of quality cybersecurity curriculum. The WWU Cybersecurity BS is the foundation for the WWU's NSA recognized Center of Academic Excellence, including a demanding technical cybersecurity program. This position is designated as a tenure-track Academic Program Director at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, or as a non-tenure track (NTT) faculty also with Academic Program Director duties, with responsibilities as described below. Academic Program Management:
* Coordinate the execution of existing curriculum in Cybersecurity, and take a leadership role in the evaluation and modification of curriculum, as well as the design of new programs as needed.

* Manage and monitor the assessment program for cybersecurity in support of CAE, ABET, and university accreditation needs.
* Identify and coordinate the scheduling and staffing of courses for cybersecurity in Poulsbo and Kirkland in coordination with CS department leadership
Student Advising and Support:
* Review and approve degree and certificate applications.
* Review and approve exceptions, modifications, and substitutions for students in the programs.
* Meet with and advise students.
* Support active and engaged cybersecurity clubs and competition teams.
* Identify and promote internship and other student opportunities.
Pipeline Development:
* Coordinate and maintain articulation agreements with partner colleges.
* Participate in recruitment efforts with partner colleges, high schools, and other opportunities with the goal of increasing enrollment at all locations.
* Prepare and submit proposals, and manage grants and other opportunities for scholarships, such as Scholarship for Service (NSF), Cyber Service Academy (Cyber Command), etc.
External Relations:
* Encourage and support the development and delivery of cybersecurity curriculum efforts in programs throughout the university.
* Coordinate, convene, and meet with an external advisory board for Cybersecurity on a semi-annual basis. Maintain relationships with members of the board between meetings.
* Coordinate with external employers and partners to create and manage year-long senior projects.
* Participate in community outreach activities, to include opportunities for K-12, the general public, and employers.
* Create and lead events and resources for WWU and surrounding community to promote and inform about cybersecurity.
* Maintain relationships, directly and through the Foundation, with key government and private sector partners including the NSA, DHS, Cyber Command, Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Naval Base Kitsap, Cloud Security Alliance, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, etc.
* Supervise the CAE/CISS websites and other communication platforms.
* Identify, prepare, submit, and manage grants for research and capacity building with various government and industry sources.
* Develop and coordinate research consortiums with other Universities and Colleges both inside and external to the CAE program.
Teaching:
* Teaching three courses per academic year, with primary teaching responsibilities onsite at the Bellingham campus.
* Advise senior projects.
Research - for tenure-track hire only:
* Develop a research program that involves undergraduate and/or graduate M.S. students.
* Advise and supervise undergraduate and graduate students on research projects culminating in peer-reviewed publications.
Required Qualifications
* For tenure-track appointment, an earned Ph.D. (by time of application) in Cybersecurity or related field is required. For non-tenure track appointment, an earned MS, PhD, or ABD (by time of application in Cybersecurity or a related field, is required.
* Experience, knowledge and research in Cybersecurity
* Experience in teaching at the University Level
* Experience or interest in outreach and professional speaking.
* Experience or interest in writing and managing grants.

The successful candidate(s) would be appointed as Lecturer Part-Time Temporary, a non-tenure track, non-voting eligible faculty title.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to innovative and effective pedagogy, have expertise in working with diverse student populations, and are open to collaborating with colleagues.
The successful candidate(s) will have an FTE commensurate with the assigned workload. For context, one 5-credit course is equivalent to 33.33% FTE and one lab is 16.67% FTE. The full-time (100%) base salary is $6,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This full-time monthly rate is then prorated based on assigned FTE for the duration of the 3-month quarter.

The Mathematics program is part of the Department of Engineering & Mathematics, which is housed in the School of STEM. In addition to Mathematics, the department has programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Engineering. Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary: This position has a minimum annual salary of $49,833 and maximum annual salary of $69,766. Tier 1: $49,833 - $56,477 (Expected hiring range): Considered fair value for a newly hired employee meeting the basic requirements of the job, and those who are new to a the level role. Tier 2: $56,477 - $63,122 (Potentially considered hiring range): May be considered if a fully competent applicant has 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, and able to quickly assimilate and consistently meet or exceed performance expectations. Tier 3: $63,122 - $69,766 (Longevity range, not considered for hiring)
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the hiring range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
Schedule/Appointment: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch) / This position has an anticipated end date of one year from hire. This position has potential to be renewed up to two additional years.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer workstation for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel may be required.

About the Department
The Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs supports academic programming that serves the needs of students outside of their majors and the general education offered by academic departments. This includes, for example, early start academic programming in the Viking Launch program and first-year experience academic programs such as the Navigational Seminars for first-generation students. With the support of the Faculty Director of Academic First-year Programs and collaborating faculty from other academic departments, the office supports curriculum that supports equity and success for new students.
