As a Sr. Customer Solutions Engineer you will support business development and growth for Instrumentation & Control Systems in the Reactor & Special Systems portfolio. This will include facilitating activities such as cost estimate, risk analysis, technical description, project schedule, compliance matrix, and project cash flow with appropriate technical subject matter experts. You will report to the Customer Solutions Manager of our Reactor and Special Systems group and ideally be located in Pittsburgh, PA. For candidates in the Pittsburgh region, this will be a mobile role, with 2-3 days a week on site at our Cranberry Township location. We are open to a remote working arrangement in other areas of the United States. Key Responsibilities: * Analyze customer requests and requirements to develop unique and competitive solutions. * Gather market intelligence to guide product development and suggest ideas before customers need them. * Collaborate with internal groups such as Sales Teams and Engineering organizations to develop strategies and solutions to address customer needs. * Responsible and accountable to coordinate offer development by working with the engineering teams to determine labor and material costs and activity durations. * Work with sales team to support the finalization and issuance of offer letters. * Participate in technical and commercial meetings with customers. * Develop presentations and present to customers and other partners. * Report on specific product opportunities, including prioritization and driving to closure. * Support input to resource and financial plans. * Facilitate customer emergent issues and review of lessons learned. * Attend industry conferences to develop customer relationships. About the role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the management of services, and the preparation of operations for the Reactor Component Upgrades ELA team. Work is carried out at the facilities in Waltz Mill Service Center (Madison, PA), and then moved to our customers' facilities for execution, which occurs mainly during the plants' refuel periods. You will report to the Program Manager for EMEA Reactor and Fuel Services. This position is based out of our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA, and requires frequent travel. Key Responsibilities: * Objectively participate in critique/lessons learned programs among Westinghouse, the utility, and suppliers to foster constructive problem solving. * Provide guidance, direction, and assistance to customer and internal teams. * Display knowledge within engineering discipline to perform complex design, analysis, and evaluations of technical products and services and prepare appropriate supporting documentation. * Support Field Service outage activities. * Support manufacturing and field service during fabrication, assembly, and installation phases. * Solve routine and complex technical problems. * Provide basic engineering field service support both in the field and in our service center required to install, test, start up and maintain nuclear system equipment, components, and service tooling. * Perform field engineering work tasks within established field scope, budgetary and schedule requirements. * Develop competencies related to the engineering functional area of focus for the rotation to gain exposure to the skillsets required for scopes of work as part of greater nuclear projects and deployment plans. Includes working with customers, outage managers, business leaders and project managers. * Identify areas of improvement and use data analysis skills to propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of each rotational department. * Support two to three planned outages at nuclear stations during the rotation period, which typically occur in the spring and fall seasons. Outage assignments involve travel for approximately 25 days, located at customer sites domestically and internationally. * Create technical documentation including procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, service planning documents. * Participate in the development/improvement of specialty field tooling and processes including testing, qualifications, and training. Opportunity Overview: * 6 months+ contract role as a Deburring Technician, with the potential to become a permanent role * On site position located in Latrobe PA area Your Day-to-Day: * Use hand tools and power tools to remove burrs, edges, or other imperfections from machined parts. * Perform quality checks using basic measurement and testing equipment including micrometers and pin gages. * Works in accordance with and ensures compliance with all applicable quality systems and regulations. * Properly and legibly documents completed work and nonconformances as required by applicable quality systems and regulations. * Cleans and deburrs parts as conditions permit utilizing machine tools, power tools, or hand tools. * Reports any incidents that have occurred and participates in investigations, as required (i.e. safety, spills, accidents, outages, productivity/workflow). * Seeks assistance from Inspection Supervisor when unsure of procedure or when errors occur. * Works cohesively and respectfully with all employees, contractors, or interns. Who You Are: * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. * Willingness to work in a team-based environment and a commitment to learning and improvement. * 1+ years experience in machining and hand grinding tools. * Previous experience in interpreting drawings and work instructions. * Working knowledge of CNC Machining, Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing, and Measuring and Test Equipment.
