About the role:
As a FieldService Engineer, you will be responsible for the management of services, and the preparation of operations for the Reactor Component Upgrades ELA team. Work is carried out at the facilities in Waltz Mill Service Center (Madison, PA), and then moved to our customers' facilities for execution, which occurs mainly during the plants' refuel periods.
You will report to the Program Manager for EMEA Reactor and Fuel Services. This position is based out of our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA, and requires frequent travel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Objectively participate in critique/lessons learned programs among Westinghouse, the utility, and suppliers to foster constructive problem solving.
* Provide guidance, direction, and assistance to customer and internal teams.
* Display knowledge within engineering discipline to perform complex design, analysis, and evaluations of technical products and services and prepare appropriate supporting documentation.
* Support FieldService outage activities.
* Support manufacturing and fieldservice during fabrication, assembly, and installation phases.
* Solve routine and complex technical problems.
* Provide basic engineering fieldservice support both in the field and in our service center required to install, test, start up and maintain nuclear system equipment, components, and service tooling.
* Perform field engineering work tasks within established field scope, budgetary and schedule requirements.
* Develop competencies related to the engineering functional area of focus for the rotation to gain exposure to the skillsets required for scopes of work as part of greater nuclear projects and deployment plans. Includes working with customers, outage managers, business leaders and project managers.
* Identify areas of improvement and use data analysis skills to propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of each rotational department.
* Support two to three planned outages at nuclear stations during the rotation period, which typically occur in the spring and fall seasons. Outage assignments involve travel for approximately 25 days, located at customer sites domestically and internationally.
* Create technical documentation including procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, service planning documents.
* Participate in the development/improvement of specialty field tooling and processes including testing, qualifications, and training.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
* Good working knowledge of CADD based software.
* Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400.00 to $73,000.00 per year.

As a Senior FieldService Engineer with our Instrumentation and Controls team, you will be responsible for all project management processes on medium to high complexity projects. There will a specific emphasis the installation and/or upgrade of industrial control systems. This requires leading teams (average >16 team members) which may include project controls. * Assist others in the planning and document generation process for larger more complex projects
* Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work.
* Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders.
* Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process.
* Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status.
* Maintain project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
* Participate as primary author and/or reviewer of project procedures
* Participate in larger more complex projects as a project manager, supervisor, or individual contributor
* Properly close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools.
* Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future
* Develop subject matter expertise in one ore more Instrumentation and Control Systems supported by the group
* Participate in system and field leadership training

• The FieldService Engineer will work on a team or individually, to install, perform preventive maintenance, repair and training across the region.

• Work with Service and Additive engineering teams to resolve complicated mechanical, electrical, electronic, and /or process problems for customer machines.

Required qualifications:

Roles and Responsibilities:
Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) as part of the pre-ITO (requisition) process while interfacing with the commercial team.
Possesses a deep understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies. To include 'ITO': Technical analysis of client need: definition and optimization of the products; scope (description); schedule; industrial scheme; cost, considering contract and internal policies and procedures.
Calculation of plant, system and equipment performance and efficiency.
Documentation of technical specifications & costing elements for further contract execution phases. This also includes OTR part where engineers work on customizing the products and implementing it for specific customer needs
Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.

The base pay range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
