Scope of Role:
Responsible for providing direct support within a single program or unit within a program, typically supporting 4 - 6 individuals in residential settings, or up to 10 individuals in periodic programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Appointments: As needed, may accompany individuals to medical appointments; relays orders and information to and from medical providers as required.
Medications: If assigned, accurately administers or supports self-administration of medication and documents delivery of medications and treatments; promptly reports administration errors; maintains appropriate security of controlled medications and other medications and supplies.
General Health Care: Monitors individual's health; documents health concerns; communicates with nurse or supervisor as appropriate; calls 911 in the event of emergency; follows individual health care directives.
Medical Supplies and Equipment: Correctly follows procedures in utilizing medical equipment; reports malfunction or disrepair.
Meal Preparation: Prepares or supports individuals to prepare food in accordance with planned menus and individual choice; knows special diets and prepares individual meals accordingly; monitors mealtime and correctly implements any dining plans.
Employment Responsibilities:
Training: Attends orientation and on-going training as directed; participates in monthly staff meetings.
Employee Scheduling: Works scheduled hours; arrives for work on time; stays on shift until replacement arrives; notifies supervisor in advance when unable to work as scheduled or as soon as possible after the designated start time; may fill in for other shifts where required without causing unapproved overtime, or in the event of emergency.
Teamwork: Works together with others, values others contributions; is courteous; communicates openly; listens; and shows respect to others.
Workplace Safety: Every employee plays a role in developing and maintaining a safe workplace; complies with all established safety policies, procedures, and rules; reports unsafe hazards to their supervisor and participates in safety related training or activities.

Vehicles: May transport individuals into the community; drives safely and according to local laws; ensures proper use of safety equipment including seat belts, lifts and wheelchair ties; reports accidents to appropriate authorities immediately; reports accidents and safety concerns immediately to supervisor or maintenance personnel.
Housekeeping: Performs daily and seasonal housekeeping as directed; maintains neat, clean and safe environment; reports hazards or safety concerns.
Maintenance and Repair: Monitors environmental safety and may make minor repairs, change light bulbs, etc.; may perform yard maintenance including keeping walkways safe and snow removal; reports equipment or facilities requiring repairs to supervisor or maintenance personnel as required.
Safety: Checks water temperature as required when assisting with bathing; participates in safety drills and protects persons being served in the event of emergency.

This role requires a highly knowledgeable and experienced regulatory and sustainability subject matter expert to lead the development of best practices, whilst constantly influencing existing solutions and identifying business opportunities for Assent to develop new products in response to the regulatory and sustainability outlook. This role will work closely with internal teams as well as external stakeholders to provide expertise and guidance on highly complex and strategic directives that support Assent's value proposition and business goals.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities
* Be a trusted and known subject matter expert internally and externally, demonstrating depth and breadth of knowledge in several areas of product sustainability and regulatory compliance:
* Specific attention to regulatory and industry objectives for product regulatory programs (e.g., environmental compliance, Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), global PFAS regulations, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, TSCA, other materials compliance, LCA, Environmental Product Declarations, sustainable product initiatives, etc.)
* Keep abreast of regulatory, sustainability and industry-led developments and identify trends through ongoing monitoring and research of global standards and regulations as well as industry group engagement;
* Influence regulatory and sustainability industry progress and Assent's opportunities through proactive and ongoing trade association engagement, participation in working groups, relationship-building, developing/updating standards, and supporting events as a thought leader;
* Engage with the Product Management team to identify opportunities for Assent to develop impactful new products and software solutions by articulating regulatory compliance and sustainability market, customer and industry perspectives and building the business case in alignment with team and Assent goals;
* Be a leading voice in the ongoing evolution of Assent's solution including driving the establishment of market best practices and recommendations for the adoption of best practices that complement and enhance the Assent SaaS Platform, and provide full cycle support from design to delivery;
* Provide ongoing expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders (either direct engagement or through Sales or Customer Success teams) including prospective customers to inform and support compliance efforts and goals related to both regulatory compliance and sustainability, skillfully distilling highly complex information to support meaningful dialogue across diverse audiences;
* Demonstrate thought leadership and support Assent's brand recognition as a trusted advisor by collaborating with marketing teams to produce external facing materials such as blog posts, white papers, webinars and sales enablement in addition to events hosted by third parties including conferences and industry group engagements;
* Support training programs and educational initiatives related to regulatory compliance, ESG and responsible sourcing topics
Qualifications

The individual is an employee of Pheasants Forever, Inc. and receives supervision from Pheasants Forever with daily instruction by the local USDA-NRCS and SWCD staff. The individual will serve in providing technical assistance for biological/wildlife aspects of all USDA NRCS Conservation Programs, BWSR, SWCD and PF voluntary programs to private landowners and participants.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with local USDA office to promote and implement the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). Write conservation plans and provide technical assistance to help landowners implement this voluntary conservation program.
Assist partners with all phases of the Reinvest in MN (RIM) conservation easement program, including applications, conservation plans, outreach, title work, construction, and reimbursement.
Help landowners identify plants and habitat on their property and guide them in improving those habitats for wildlife utilizing voluntary conservation programs from USDA NRCS, PF, BWSR and other local and state programs.
Promote and assist landowners in enrolling land in the Walk in Access Program (WIA).
Use science-based knowledge to improve habitat within the agricultural regions of the work area. This includes collaboration amongst staff, and being the in-house technical wildlife expert, and the go-to person for landowners within the work area who have wildlife and habitat related questions.
Collaborate between partnering agencies to achieve habitat restoration and management goals for landowners and programs.

During field season, the individual will spend time in the field doing site visits on private property, evaluating habitat, making habitat recommendations, identifying plants, and meeting contractors on construction sites. Other time will be spent in the office doing data entry, writing conservation plans, creating maps, and collaborating with partner staff on current and future projects. During office time, there will also be numerous interactions with landowners via phone, email, and in-person, to give technical and program information.
Outreach in the form of workshops, training events, letters, phone calls, and social media will be a year-round activity to keep the public informed on current programs offered by USDA and other agencies.

Under the general direction of the Battalion Chief, the Fire Captain supervises firefighting companies in the suppression of fires, emergency medical services, fire prevention, and public education activities. This position oversees the maintenance of fire stations, equipment, apparatus, and related work as required; coordinates the scheduling of personnel, equipment, training, and work activity; coordinates line functions within administrative policy and does related work as required.
The Brooklyn Park Fire Department, established in 1957, is a full-service public safety agency serving the city's 27-square-mile area. The department operates four fire stations staffed 24- hours a day on a three-shift rotation, providing emergency response with three engine companies, one ladder company, and one Battalion Chief. With 56 sworn and 2 non-sworn personnel, the department responded to nearly 9,000 calls for service in 2024, with approximately 72% EMS/rescue and 28% fire calls. * Responds to emergency incidents and performs assigned firefighting and emergency medical tasks in accordance with department, city, and state standards.
